Hello My Friend,

A Happy Thursday to you! It is May 31, 2007. Wow! The last day of the month, it seems to have flown by, but I am ready fot the summer. Are you?

Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.....Psalm 124:8

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Chronicles, chapters 34 -- 36.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%2034-36&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of Josiah's reign, the book of the Law is found, the fall of Jerusalem, the captivity of Judah, and the decree of Cyrus to rebuild the Temple.

One of the highest honors ever attributed to a king was given to Josiah, when it was recorded: "He did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of David his father and declined (turned aside) neither to the right hand, nor to the left". . . Hilkiah the priest found a book of the law of the LORD given by Moses. And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan." (II Chronicles 34:2, 14-15)

"And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD. And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book." (II Chronicles 34:30-31).

But the last four kings of Judah, Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin, and Zedekiah were all evil, and led the nation in a descending course to its disastrous end morally, politically, and spiritually.

During his reign of 11 years (36:11), Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the youngest son of Josiah, did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord (36:12), and rebelled against Babylon's domination because he thought he had the support of Egypt.

This time, the Lord left the Israelites to their ruin. Nebuchadnezzar showed no mercy and surrounded Jerusalem until there was no bread for the people of the land (II Kings 25:3). The horrors of the starving defenders of Jerusalem are recorded in Lamentations 2:19; 4:3-10 and Ezekiel 5:10.

Nebuchadnezzar's soldiers eventually broke through the north wall and mercilessly butchered both young and old. Then they burnt the House of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly (valuable) vessels thereof (II Chronicles 36:17-19; II Kings 25:4-11; Jeremiah 52:5-23). Most of those who had escaped the massacre were driven off as slaves to become exiles in a foreign land (II Chronicles 36:20-21).

Because of His great love for Israel and His covenants with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David, the Lord made a precious promise to the Jewish people that is fast approaching fulfillment. They will soon recognize Jesus of Nazareth as their Messiah.

"Blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is My Covenant (Agreement) unto them, when I shall take away their sins" (Romans 11:25-27).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with another day.
Thank you for all the blessings you have given me just this morning, a bed to get up out of, water to drink and eyes that see the beautiful sun rise.
Thank you for sending Your son, Jesus to save us from the destruction of so many generations before me.
Thank you, Jesus for sacrificing yourself for us.
You shed your precious, pure blood to give us eternal life.
And all we have to do to recieve it is to accept you into our hearts.
We will enjoy our lives in your presence forever and one day be able to see you face to face in the flesh.
Lord, there is so much trouble in the world today.
In these troubled times make your presence known to all the people around the world so that they may see peace as the only way to salvation.
Replace the anger and violence in our hearts with joy and tranquility and help us to seek the good in everyone.
Cause us all to realize that without you we can do nothing that will bring us peace and joy.
Bless me Lord, with a healthy mind and body.
Bless me with confidence and courage to do the things you call me to do.
Bless me with patience and understand when things are difficult.
Bless me with prosperity in all that I do.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and those that do not know you, Lord. May all come to know you and enjoy eternal life with us.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wonderful and peaceful day!

God Bless You

Hello My Friend,

A Happy Wednesday to you! Today is May 30, 2007, may it be a day of peace and many, many blessings.

The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.....Psalm 64:10

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Chronicles, chapters 31 -- 33.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%2031-33&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of
Hezekiah destroying the idols, firstfruits and tithes, Assyria invading Judah, Hezekiah's death, Manasseh's reign, and death, and Amon's reign.

After the death of wicked King Ahaz, his godly son Hezekiah became king and assumed leadership of a nation where idol worship was both popular and prevalent. Furthermore, his father had placed the kingdom of Judah in subjection to Assyria, which was fast becoming the world's most powerful kingdom.

Its seemingly invincible armies had seized control of both Syria and the northern kingdom of Israel. In addition, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, had jurisdiction over 46 walled cities inside the kingdom of Judah.

Hezekiah could have mourned over the mess he inherited, either hating his father or blaming God for the wretched moral and economic conditions that prevailed throughout the nation.

Instead, "Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD...Moreover he commanded the people that dwelt in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites (tithe), that they might be encouraged in the law of the LORD....And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store."(II Chronicles 31:2,4,10).

Hezekiah observed the Passover (30:1-27). He reopened the Temple which his wicked, idol-worshiping father had desecrated and restored worship of the true God.

As with Hezekiah, who inherited serious problems because his father was evil, we too may be the victim of other people's sins. But Christians need not fear the future or "unfortunate circumstances" of the past.

We should not be concerned about our parents' mistakes, which we may have inherited, or other situations over which we have no control. Dwelling on one's past mistakes, or those of others, never provides helpful solutions, and can create depression, suspicion, self-hatred, and hatred of others.

How encouraging it is to know that, when Hezekiah and Isaiah prayed with no hint of ill will, the Lord protected them.

With the Apostle Paul, let us say: "This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark (goal) for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:13-14).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with this day.
Thank you for forgiving me of all my past sins and mistakes.
Thank you for helping me to learn and become a better person from all my trials and triumphs.
Thank you for watching over me every day and protecting me, sometimes from my own self.
Bless me today with your presence, continue to walk with me, guide me.
Bless me with the strength and courage to do your will and not try to do things on my own.
Bless me with the patience and understanding to know that all things come to pass on your time and not mine.
Bless me with a healthy mind and body.
Bless me with confidence and a positive attitude, knowing that I can do all things through you.
Bless me with energy and motivation no matter how hard it may be to do some things.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not know you, may all come to know you, Lord.
Bless our nations, bring peace to the world and especially in our own country.
Help all to accept one another as brothers and sisters of Christ and to learn that there is no achievements in war.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wonderful day my friend.

God Bless you

Hello My Friend,

A good Tuesday to you! It is May 29, 2007 and back to work for many people, probably me as well. At least it is a shorter week, right?

So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.....Psalms 78:72

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Chronicles, chapters 28 -- 30.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%2028-30&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of Ahaz reigning in Judah, Syria (Aram) and Israel defeating Judah, the death of Ahaz, Hezekiah's reigning and worship is restored in the Temple.

Ahaz had the wonderful heritage of a godly father Jotham (II Chronicles 27:6). But Ahaz was one of the most wicked kings in Judah's history, "For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images (cast idols) for Baalim. Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel." (28:2-3)

"Wherefore the Lord his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote (defeated) him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter"(28:5).

Because of the great wickedness of King Ahaz, the kingdom of Judah continued to suffer serious losses of territory. The Edomites gained their independence from Judah on the southeast. The Philistines raided the cities in the southwest and occupied them (28:17-18). Thousands of his people were taken as slaves into other countries (28:5-17).

Regrettably, the many defeats of Ahaz never caused him to humble himself and repent. He fiercely rejected the Lord and sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus (28:23). "And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem. And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers."(28:24-25).

In this tragic account of Ahaz, king of Judah, the Lord is warning us of the awful fate of those who turn from Him. Just as Ahaz attempted to suppress the worship of the One True God, the unsaved world, with all of its deceptive attractions, attempts to suppress our loyalty and obedience to the Lord.

To overcome these hindrances and remain faithful we need to pray each day: "Give me understanding, and I shall keep Thy Law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me to go in the path of Thy Commandments; for therein do I delight. Incline my heart unto Thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken (renew) Thou me in Thy way"(Psalm 119:34-37).

We also need to learn to get into his words each day, "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;" Colossians 1:9-10

Jesus Christ our King, now seated at the right hand of God, "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." (Romans 8:34). "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God."(Colossians 3:1).

"Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord....Romans 8:37-39

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with a new day here on earth.
Thank you for my eyes that see, my feet that walk and my fingers that cant type.
Thank you for the food I eat, water I drink, and for the air that I breathe.
Walk with me Lord, guide me, and grant me to greet the day in peace.
Help me in all things to rely upon your holy will. In every hour of the day reveal your will to me. Bless me with the patience to let things happen the way You intended them to.
Teach me to treat all that comes my way with warmth in my soul and with firm conviction that your will governs all.
In all my deeds and words, guide my thoughts and feelings.
In unforeseen events, let me not forget that all are sent by you.
Teach me to act firmly and wisely, without embittering and embarrassing others.
Give me strength to bear the fatigue of the day with all that it shall bring.
Direct my will, teach me to pray and empower me with knowledge and wisdom.
Bless me with a healthy mind, and body.
Bless me with a prosperious day in all that I do.
Bless me family, friends, and all I have come to know in person and online.
Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not kow you. May all come to know you, Lord.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wondeful ay my friend, full of many unexpected blessings.

God bless

Hello My Friends

A Good Monday to you! It is May 28, 2007 and Memorial day here in the U.S. I hope your weekend was great and that you are able to enjoy an extended one in honor of our lost troops. If not, hopefully you enjoyed a little bit of rest and relaxation.

In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul...Psalm 11:1.

In today's lesson we will continue reading from that book of II Chronicles, chapters 25 -- 27.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%2025-27&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of Amaziah reigning in Judah; war against Edom; Israel defeating Judah; Uzziah reigning in Jerusalem and is stricken with leprosy.

After Joash was murdered by his servants, his son Amaziah became king of Judah. "Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem." (II Chronicles 25:1, See also 24:25-27; II Kings 12:20-21). "And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart"(II Chronicles 25:2; also II Kings 14:3-6).

On one occasion, he hired soldiers from the northern kingdom to help him fight against Edom (descendants of Esau) in an effort to regain lost territory (II Chronicles 25:6). After a man of God rebuked him for not fully trusting in the Lord, who alone hath power to help, and to cast down (25:7-8), Amaziah dismissed the Israelite army and was successful in defeating the Edomites.

Instead of praising the Lord for victory, he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them. "Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand? And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel."(25:14-16).

One of the most successful kings in Judah's history was Amaziah's 16-year-old son Uzziah "Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah." (26:1). The key to his success was unmistakable: "And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper."(26:5)

"And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong. But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God, and went into the Temple of the Lord to burn incense"(26:15-16). Only priests were qualified to offer incense to God; but Uzziah refused to stop, even when rebuked by Azariah and 80 other priests (26:17).

Consequently, God struck Uzziah with leprosy. Even though he was a great king, God still judged him, for no man is above the Law of God. Because of his leprosy, Uzziah was an outcast from both his own palace as well as the Temple.

Few sins are as deceptive and destructive as overestimating one's importance. "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith"(Romans 12:3).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with this day.
Thank you for the freedom you have given us.
May all the soldiers who fell in war be blessed and praised for giving the ultimate sacrifice.
Bless the troops that are fighting to keep us safe today. Protect them as they protect us, Lord.
Uplift and strengthen the families and loved ones who wait for their return and the ones who are suffering from a loss.
Bless me Lord, with a healthy mind and body.
Bless me with confident and a positive day.
Bless me with peace and understanding.
Bless me with wisdom and knowledge.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and those who fall short of the glory of knowing You.
May all come to know you, Lord and may You use me in any way that you need me to reach those in need of you.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a great day my friend.

God bless you.

Hello My Friends,

A Good Day To You! Today is Sunday, May 27, 2007. Many blessings on a beautiful, relaxing day.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:....Psalm 28:7.

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Chronicles, chapters 21 -- 24.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%2021-24&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of Jehoram's, Ahaziah's and Athaliah's reigns, the prophecy of Elijah, Joash becoming king and repairing the Temple, and of the nation once again turning to idolatry.

During most of Jehoshaphat's reign, he maintained friendly relations with Ahab, the idol-worshiping king of the northern kingdom. His son's marriage to Ahab's daughter resulted in a heritage of wicked leadership for Judah.

Jehoshaphat's life should serve as a warning to those today who say: "I know God said we should not have close relationships with unsaved people, but I don't let them affect me." However, just as it was with Jehoshaphat, though it did not influence him personally, he could not control the way it affected his sons and his grandchildren.

After the death of Jehoshaphat, his son Jehoram took control of the kingdom. He proceeded to destroy all the godly influence of his father's reign."Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel." (II Chronicles 21:4)

"Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought (did)that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD." (II Chronicles 21:5-6)

"Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah thereto (to do also)"(II Chronicles 21:11).

Although the prophet Elijah lived in the northern kingdom, he sent a letter to the ungodly Jehoram, king of the southern kingdom, and rebuked his evils, saying: "Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah, But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father's house, which were better than thyself: Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods:" (21:12-14).

Godly Jehoshaphat could not have realized the tragic consequences that resulted from his friendship with Ahab and his son's marriage to an unbeliever. Some Christian parents' hearts have been broken as a result of permitting a son or daughter to date an unsaved person who seems so desirable in many other ways.

Every Christian young man and woman should recognize why there are strong warnings against dating the unsaved. "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean (unfit) thing; and I will receive you"(II Corinthians 6:17).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you again for giving me another day on earth.
Thank you for the many blessings tou have given me and the ones yet to come.
You are my Lord, my salvation, my peace, and without You nothing is possible.
Thank you, Lord for all that you do for me.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.

Bless me with a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Bless me with patience and understanding.
Bless me with courage and confidence, I know as long as You are with me I a can do anything.
Bless me with wisdom and knowledge of your wrods.
Teach me to listen for you and understand you when you are talking to me.
Bless me with positive thinking and encouragement all through the day.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless those who do not know you, may all come to know you, Lord.
Bless all who read this message.

In Jesus name, I pray....Amen.

Have a wonderful day.

Hello My Friend,

A good Saturday to you! I hope you have enjoying a long weekend, at least a little bit of it anyway.

For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth....Psalm 33:4

In today's lesson we will continue reading the book of II Chronicles, chapters 18 -- 20.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%2018-20&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of
Jehoshaphat allying himself with Ahab, the death of Ahab, Jehoshaphat's national reformation, and the death of Jehoshaphat.

Jehoshaphat was one of the most godly kings in the history of Judah. He appointed Levites throughout the country to read and instruct people in the Law of God. He forced the Baal and Ashtoreth cult followers, as well as the male cult prostitutes (homosexuals), out of his country (I Kings 22:46; II Chronicles 17:3-9).

Jehoshaphat made a serious mistake when he associated with Ahab, the Baal-worshiping king of the northern kingdom. Their friendship led to the marriage of Jehoshaphat's son Jehoram to Ahab's daughter Athaliah (18:1; 21:1,6).

"And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war."
(18:3). Godly Jehoshaphat also made a serious mistake when he accepted an invitation to a feast with Ahab and Jezebel.

Following Jehoshaphat's request for a word from God," And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day." A fearless prophet named Micaiah boldly spoke; "And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak. Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace."(18:4,13,16).

In disregard of the prophet's warning, Jehoshaphat joined Ahab and almost lost his life. "And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and I will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle. Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with him, saying, Fight ye not with small or great, save only with the king of Israel."(18:29-30)

"And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him"(18:31).

"Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem"(19:1). God sent the prophet Jehu to rebuke him: "And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD." (19:2).

The marriage of Jehoshaphat's son Jehoram to the daughter of Jezebel opened the door to Baal worship in Judah and the massacre of all of Jehoshaphat's sons and grandsons, except for one-year-old Jehoash (Joash) who was hidden by the high priest Jehoiada (22:10-12).

All of our relationships should be guided by the Scriptures: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." (II Corinthians 6:14-17).

"For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove(rebuke)them."(Ephesians 5:8-11).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with another day.
Lord, I know I sometimes get into relationships with people that are not good for me.

Please help me better understand how I relate to
the people in my life and give me the wisdom to know when a relationship is not giving you glory and is harmful to me.

Bring me the courage to nurture and pray for what is good and just in all people. Help me to pray for them and walk away from them should they try to lead me into temptation, sin, and away from the relationship I am growing with You, including my family members.

Bless my family and friends, Lord, may they all come to know you, work in their lives and help them to all see what a difference their lives will be with You in them.

Bless me with a healthy mind, body and spirit.
Bless me with peace and understanding, patience and positive thoughts throughout the day.
Bless me with wisdom and knowledge of your words and the right words to speak to others about You.
Help me to be prosperous in all that I do.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wonderful day my friend, full of many unexpected blessings.

God Bless You

Hello My Friend,

A Happy Friday to you! Are you glad it is Friday? I sure am.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth....Psalm 121:2

In today's lesson we will continue reading the book of II Chronicles 14 -- 17.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%2014-17&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of King Asa's reforms, his covenant with God, his treaty with Syria (Aram), his rebuke by Hananim his death, and Jehoshaphat succeeding Asa.

King Asa was the grandson of Rehoboam and the great-grandson of Solomon. But Asa rejected their pagan idols (II Chronicles 14:1-7). "Asa was greatly encouraged by the prophet Azariah the son of Oded" (15:1)

"And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD. And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him."(15:8-9)

"And they entered into a covenant (agreement) to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul... And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about."(15:12,15).

Asa left no room for compromise. He took away the sodomites (male cult prostitutes) out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made (I Kings 15:12). He even removed his own grandmother Maachah from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove (shrine for the goddess Asherah); and Asa cut down her idol . . . and burnt it at the brook Kidron (I Kings 15:13; II Chronicles 15:16).

You can be sure that, when anyone takes a firm stand for moral and spiritual values, Satan will instigate opposition and then seek to bring about a compromise in that person's positive declaration of faith.

As his wealth and power increased, Asa's dependence upon God decreased. Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, "Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the Lord thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand"(16:7).

Hanani was put in prison for his faithful witness. But his words have imparted immeasurable faith and boldness for all of us to remain faithful in the midst of a hostile world: "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him"(II Chronicles 16:9).

Jesus declared: "Take my yoke(burden) upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls"(Matthew 11:29).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank You for blessing me with another day.

Hello My Friend,

A Happy Thursday to you!
Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield...Psalm 115:11

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Chronicles, chapters 10 -- 13.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%2010-13&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of
Rehoboam succeeding Solomon, Jeroboam leading in a rebellion of the 10 tribes, Rehoboam forsaking the Law of God, and Shishak invading Judah.

When Solomon was made king, David urged him: "keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself" (I Kings 2:3).

Sadly, however, there is no record of Solomon urging his own son, Rehoboam, to read God's Word and remain faithful to the Lord. Neither is there any mention that Rehoboam began his reign with altar sacrifices and prayer as his father had done.

What we do read is that, three years after Rehoboam became king, "And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him. Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak. And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD." (II Chronicles 12:1,5-13,14; see also 11:17).

The leaders of Israel met with Rehoboam with a reasonable request that he ease the excessive taxes his father had imposed upon them. They also asked that he discontinue the forced labor which had persisted since Solomon first began building the luxurious palaces, stables, chariot houses, magnificent parks, and other spectacular structures within his famous kingdom. If Rehoboam would consent, the leaders agreed to pledge their loyalty to him.

Rehoboam's first decision as king was a major blunder. His intolerance led most of the tribes to secede(withdraw) and form the northern kingdom. Rehoboam was left with only a small part of the original promised land. Only the tribes of Judah and Benjamin remained. But, how could he have made wise choices, since he prepared not his heart to seek the Lord?(12:14)

Notice that it does not say to "serve the Lord." It was not better service that the Lord expected, but for Rehoboam to seek the Lord. The same spiritual principles hold true today. The difference is between Martha serving Jesus and Mary sitting at Jesus' feet and hearing the Word (Luke 10:38-42).

Though we may be unaware of it, if we humbly seek the Lord, our lives will be guided by His Spirit to accomplish His perfect will and purpose. He giveth more grace. "Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble"(James 4:6)

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with another day.
I know there are times where I choose to do things on my own instead of letting you guide me through it. Often causing more distress along the way.
Forgive me, Lord for not letting You handle the situation.
Steer the ship of my life, dear Lord, to your quiet harbour, where I can be safe from the storms of sin and conflict.
Show me the course I should take. Renew in me the gift of discernment, so that I can always see the right direction in which I should go.
And give me the strength and the courage to choose the right course, even when the sea is rough and the waves are high, knowing that through enduring hardship and danger in your name I shall find comfort and peace.
Lord, bless me with a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Bless me with the strength and courage to always come to you no matter what and bless me with the patience I need to wait on you for the answers.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless those that do not know you, may they come to know you and enjoy eternal life with you.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wonderful day my friend.

God Bless You

Hello My Friends,

A Happy Wednesday to you!
The week is almost half over already. Time sure flies when you are having fun. Right?

Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.....Psalm 128:1

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Chronicles, chapters 7 -- 9.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%207-9&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of Solomon's sacrifices, the glory of the Lord, God appearing before Solomon, the Queen of Sheba visits Solomon, his riches and fame, and of his death.

"Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house." (II Chronicles 7:1).

After that great dedication, the Lord again appeared to Solomon by night, saying: "If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (7:13-14)

"Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually (forever)." (7:14-16)

Carefully consider the qualifications for God to heal their land. First, He is speaking of "My people". This implies our need to receive Christ according to His Word. This is done by learning of the Gospel and accepting Jesus into your heart.

Then, "to humble ourselves" means, first and foremost, a confession of our sin of neglecting His Word, as if we could live by our own good judgment and do not need His advice. To humble one's self also includes acknowledgment of all sin, a sorrow for sin, and genuine repentance of sin.

God alone can, and does, forgive and cleanse us from all confessed sin. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:9).

When God says: "Seek My face", He means for us daily to seek Him in His Word that we may know what life is all about. As we read His Word, the Holy Spirit not only enlightens our understanding of how to know His will, but He empowers us to live it. God has warned: "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the Law, even his prayer shall be abomination" (Proverbs 28:9).

Our great need is to prayerfully read all of His Word. Jesus said: "If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (John 15:6-7).

"Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." (John 15:8-11).

Even though Solomon had a rich and glorious kingdom, it cannot begin to compare to Christ's coming kingdom. "The throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it"(Revelation 22:1-5).

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord

Thank You for blessing me with another day.
Thank you for my life on this earth, however challenging or not.
Thank you for giving me free will to love and be loved, to make my own decisions, to learn from my mistakes, to laugh when I am happy, to cry when I am sad.
Thank you for giving me the strength to overcome my trials, to do what's right for the benefit of the greater good, to rise above negativity.
Forgive me Lord, for not always trusting in You that all things will work out through your guidance.
Forgive me for trying to do things on my own instead of looking to you for the answers.
Forgive me of all my sins that I have forgotten about and the ones that I knew about.
Walk with me, Lord, guide me and lead me along this great path.
Help me to listen for you when you are speaking.
Teach me how to pray to you in all that I do.
Give me the strength and patience to always follow You and not try to do things on my own.
Bless me with a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Bless me with energy, motivation and positive thinking throughout the entire day.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless all that do not know you and may they all come to know you, Lord.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a great day my friend.

God Bless You

Hello My Friends,

A Good Tuesday to you!
I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever....Psalm 52:8

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Chronicles, chapters 4 -- 6.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%204-6&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of the Temple's furnishings, the Ark being brought into the Temple, a cloud of the Lord's presence filling the Temple, and Solomon's prayer of dedication.

The Israelites gathered around Solomon "And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands: For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven." (II Chronicles 6:12-13).

It was not uncommon for the people of God to lift their hands in prayer and praise (Psalm 63:3-4). Hands lifted toward heaven are a sign of wholehearted submission and worship. Surely it should be natural to lift up our hands or to kneel in humility before the living God.

Solomon began his prayer, saying: "And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts: Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name." (II Chronicles 6:14,33).

Sadly, Solomon's talk didn't match his conduct. Solomon also had prayed: "And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house; Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers."(6:24-25). It is pathetic to realize there is no record that Solomon ever repented of any of his sins.

Somewhere, at this moment, on a hospital bed or in a prison cell, facing unemployment or the cruel experiences of family problems, there are people repenting of their sins, reading God's Word for direction, being restored to Him, and coming forth stronger in their faith.

It is wonderful to know how much the Lord loves us. "But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world"(I Corinthians 11:32).

The best years of our lives can be the outcome of failure, heartbreak, or loneliness that lead to a true commitment to Christ as Lord of our lives so that We can become the people God meant us to be.

Suffering could be caused by God, Satan, or our own foolish decisions; but it can, and will, be used of God, if we have faith to turn to Him. "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us" (Romans 8:18).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with another day.
Thank you for the many blessings you have given me.
Thank you for the lessons you have given me during my times of sorrow and distress.
Thank you for not giving up on me during those times and showing me that all is possible through you.

You are amazing God, when it seems that we are actually, finally at our wits end and we have seen the end of all that we can do, that is when you are at your nearest, your most miraculous, your best.

Sometimes, the road we trudge seems destined to be painful and joyless forever. And yet, just around the corner, just over the next hill, we see new life, we see hope and it is You God.

You are that hope, that strength that pulls us together and brings the joy back into our lives.

Walk with me, Lord, lead me and guide me.
Bless me with your presence, reveal yourself to me and let me know that You are with me always.
Bless me with a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Bless me with strength to stay away from temptation and sin.
Bless me with wisdom and knowledge.
Bless me with patience and understanding.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless those lost and confused, unknown to you, may all come to know you, Lord.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray....Amen.

Have a wonderful day my friend.

Hello My Friends,

A Good Monday to you!
I hope you had a great weekend and pray that you have a great week.

In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me...Psalm 56:11

In today's lesson we will begin reading the book of II Chronicles, chapters 1 -- 3.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Chronicles%201-3&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of
Solomon's sacrifices, his dream, his accumulation of chariots and horsemen, and of the building of the Temple.

King Solomon began his reign in submission to the Lord his God. "And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly."(II Chronicles 1:1).

So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness. And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it. In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee." (1:3,6-7)

By the thousand burnt offerings of Solomon (II Chronicles 1:6). We can be thankful that the one perfect offering of Christ on the cross did away with the need for many and continual individual offerings. He died unto sin once (for all) (Romans 6:10; Hebrews 10:10-12,14).

In I Kings, we have more complete details of this event. In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee, And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream (I Kings 3:5,15).

In this dream, Solomon said unto God "Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?" (II Chronicles 1:8-10)

"And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.(II Chronicles 1:11-12). Through this dream, the Lord was revealing to Solomon that his greatest need was to be obedient to the Word of God.

Following the sacrifices at Gibeon, Solomon began accumulating massive numbers of chariots and horsemen (II Chronicles 1:14; 9:25; I Kings 4:26). However, God had commanded that the king shall not cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses; forasmuch as the Lord hath said unto you, "Ye shall henceforth return no more that way" (Deuteronomy 17:16).

But he even married the daughter of Pharaoh (I Kings 3:1; 11:1). He again defied God, who had said: "Neither shall he multiply (take many) wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold"(Deuteronomy 17:17).

Solomon ignored all three of these commandments. But his most serious neglect was his indifference toward the fourth commandment to Israel's kings: When he sitteth upon the throne, he shall write him a copy of this Law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites, he shall read therein all the days of his life, to keep all the words of this Law (Deuteronomy 17:18-19).

It makes little difference whether or not we become famous, powerful, or wealthy. But, it is most important we recognize that, as He is our Creator, God is the source of our wisdom and abilities and has first rights to their use.

"Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue (II Peter 1:2-3).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with this day.
Walk with me, guide me and help me to recognize your hand in all things.
Thank you for the many blessings that you have given me, the ones I understand and the ones I do not. Thank you for the miracles I see and the ones I do not.
Thank you for your spirit who always abides in me.
I ask that I may be with your spirit today.
Cleanse my mind of all darkness and fill it with love and light.
Let me be joyful and positive with this day no matter what it brings.
Thank you for everything that's in my life and everything that's not.
Bless me with a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Bless me with patience and kindness.
Bless me with wisdom and understanding and help me to stay focused and confident.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless those that do not know you and may all come to know you, Lord.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wonderful day my friend.

God Bless You

Good Day My Friends,

A Good Sunday to you! May you be blessed with a beautiful, glorious day.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped....Psalm 28:7

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of I Chronicles, chapters 27 -- 29.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%2027-29&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of Solomon"s encouragement to build the Temple, David's gifts for the Temple, his thanks and prayer, Solomon being made king, and of David's death.

"Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem. (I Chronicles 29:26-27).

In his last year, David assembled all the tribal princes and military captains. He told them how God had chosen Solomon to build His Temple and that their greatest concern should be to be obedient to God. "Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever."(28:8)

Then David charged Solomon: "And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever".(28:9)

David then offered one of the most inspiring prayers recorded in the Scriptures. "Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it. Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat"
(29:10-11)

"And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things: Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD." (29:12-13).

David's heartfelt prayer is a reminder to all of us that prayer should be a time of praising and worshiping God with thanksgiving for who He is, as well as for what He has given us. As we recognize our total dependence upon God for everything, we will praise Him for His provision.

When we neglect to praise the Lord daily, our worship often becomes a mere ritual. Every day, under every circumstance we need to praise the Lord for all his works. "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (I Thessalonians 5:18).

To grumble about our circumstances is to express dissatisfaction with God and to question His wisdom and His love for us.

Kneeling, bowing the head, and stretching forth hands are all expressions of worship. David was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write: "Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion."
(Psalm 134).

Paul was instructed by God: "Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. I will therefore(then) that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting."(I Timothy 2:7-8).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank You for blessing me with another day.
Yes, Lord, I will praise You always.
Through the good times and bad, you are always with me and I know you will guide me through it all.
Thank you for every thing that you have blessed me with and what is yet to come.
My Lord, this day, I rededicate myself to live in You and live a life for Your glory.
It is Your grace that I must be counted worthy to be called Your child.
Help me to keep Your commandments. Renew my strength this day that I may be strong in faith and help me to increase my passion for life with you.
Preserve me for the glorious day of Your coming. I believe Your Word which says, "He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ". Let this day be the beginning.
Lead me into greater spiritual depths even in the coming days.
Bless me with a healthy mind, and body.
Bless me with patience and understanding.
Bless me with wisdom and knowledege.
Bless me with motivation and energy throughout the day.
Bless me family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless all who read this message.
May all come to know you. Lord and continue to use me as your guide to help others find their way back to you.
In Jesus precious name, I pray....Amen.

Have a wonderful and joyful filled day.

God Bless

Good Day My Friends,

A Happy Saturday to you!
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore....Psalm 16:11.

In today's lesson we will continue reading the book of I Chronicles, Chapters 24 -- 26.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%2024-26&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of the
Duties assigned to the priests; the musicians and singers, the divisions of the porters (gatekeepers), and the treasurers and other officials.

David separated (set apart) to the service, Levites, singers, porters (gatekeepers), treasurers, and other workers of the Temple who were entrusted with responsibilities for worship in the Temple. (I Chronicles 25:1; 9:22-29)

The gatekeepers were called able men for strength for the service (26:8). They were the Korahites and Merarites, descendants of Levi (Genesis 46:11). Twenty-four gatekeepers guarded the entrances day and night lest an unqualified person attempted to enter (I Chronicles 26:17-18).

Every position was equally important to maintain worship in the Temple as required by the Lord. Today, there are no unimportant tasks in the Church (the Body of Christ). The ministries dedicated to fulfilling the great commission are also a sacred responsibility from God.

Earlier, David had planned to make Jerusalem the religious center of Israel by bringing the Ark of the Covenant there. After Uzzah was struck dead for touching the Ark, it was taken to the home of Obed-edom. When he received the Ark containing the Word of God, he also received the very presence of God (Exodus 25:22; I Samuel 4:4; II Samuel 6:2).

The presence of the Lord brought blessing on the home of Obed-edom. In like manner, the presence of the Lord will also bless our families and homes when the Word of God is prominent in our lives.

Some people ignore the Creator's ownership rights to their lives and do not recognize their position as His managers of their talents, time, and even His rightful tithe. All these are meant to be used for His purposes rather than for our own pleasures and personal interests.

Each day is given to us as a trust that we may become like Christ and glorify Him. What God has entrusted to us can become multiplied blessings to others; but, when kept for selfish purposes, it can become a curse.

In our family devotions, let us thank our Heavenly Father for our family and everyone that we have come to know and love and help them to know their importance to Him. "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?" (Luke 16:10-11).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for blessing me with thid day.
Thank You for the many blessings you give me each day.
Thank You for my family, my friends, and all I have come to know, even the people that have cause pain and sorrow.
For if I have not known any of these people I would not be the person I am today.
Every person you send into my life is a purpose just like everything else You send my way.

Good Day My Friends,

A happy Friday to you! TGIF! Can you believe the weekend is here already.
The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer....Psalm 6:9

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of I Chronicles, Chapters 21 -- 23.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%2021-23&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of
David's sin in taking a military census, his preparation for building the Temple and instructions to Solomon, and of the duties of the Levites.

Solomon was about 20 years of age when he was anointed king. Since young people do not have the years of experience that their elders do, they often underestimate the things that are of greatest importance. Consequently, David was not satisfied with just providing Solomon with the materials needed to build the Temple.

"Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God. Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed."(I Chronicles 22:12-13).

"Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.
Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD." (22:18-19)

David's accumulation of materials for the Temple were now in the possession of his son. But Solomon ignored the spiritual advice of his father David to set your heart to seek the Lord and arise therefore, and build ye the Sanctuary.

Building the Temple should have been his first priority, but Solomon put personal interests first and did not begin building the Temple until the fourth year of his reign. Instead, he began to amass chariots and horses as well as wives (II Chronicles 1:14; 3:1-2; I Kings 10:26-11:4). This was in violation of the Law for the kings of Israel (Deuteronomy 17:16-17).

David's appeal to Solomon to seek the Lord is still the need of every Christian. True faith is demonstrated by our commitment and obedience to the Word of God and our dependency upon Him to answer prayer while we do all we can to bring it to pass.

We should not assume that we can just "leave it up to the Lord and do nothing." The Lord expects our participation in all that we can do. Consider this fact: "Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought (working) with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?" (James 2:21-22)

"And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only."(James 2:23-24)

"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."(James 2:26).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for Blessing me with another day.
Thank you for the many blessings you have given me already today.
Walk with me, Lord, guide me and lead me along this path.
Bless me with the strength and confidence I need to stay on that path and not fall off track.
I can not do this without you, Lord, but as long as You are with me I know I will succeed in all things.
Bless me with patience and understanding.
Bless me with wisdom and help me to listen for you when You speak to me.
Bless me with motivation and energy throughout the day.
Bless me with a healthy mind and body.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wonderful day, the weekend is upon us so try get a little R & R and....

Good Day My Friends,

A Happy Thursday to you! I pray that all is well and that your week is going well. Hang in there, it is almost over
"O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever...Psalm 118:1"

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of I Chronicles, Chapters 17 -- 20.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%2017-20&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of David being forbidden to build the Temple, God making a Covenant with David, his prayer, and God extending David's kingdom.

Prayer and praise to God were distinguishing characteristics in the life of David. It is often recorded: David inquired of the Lord (I Samuel 23:2,4; 30:8; II Samuel 2:1; 5:19,23; 21:1; I Chronicles 14:10,14).

David's prayer life was often words of praise. David prayed: "O Lord, there is none like Thee, neither is there any God beside Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears"(17:20).

Although almost everyone is aware of the importance of prayer, few make it a vital part of their lives. But prayer has led many Christians to make the right decisions.

As we pray, we are speaking to our Father, and as we read His Word, He is speaking to us. That is open communication in the family of God. Prayer and knowing God's Word are vital links in releasing heaven's power to answer our prayers.

With utmost confidence, "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress (whose power the enemy forces cannot penetrate): my God; in Him will I trust"(Psalm 91:2).

There is no other how-to-pray manual, nor any better reading plan, than beginning in Genesis and ending with Revelation. It is an attitude of foolish pride to believe we are qualified to choose what not to read when the Lord has clearly said...

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (II Timothy 3:16-17).

If it is all profitable and we don't read all of it, then we fail to gain the best preparation for prayer that God has provided. When we recognize the Bible as His unique prayer manual written for us, we will give it priority far above all other important matters in our daily schedules.

Open your Bibles reverently, daily, and pray "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:

The eyes of your understanding (mind) being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward (toward us) who believe, according to the working of His mighty power"(Ephesians 1:17-19).

Let the dominating motive in all your reading of God's Word be "that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God."(Colossians 1:10).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank You for blessing me with this day.
Thank you for everything that you have blessed me with.
As You know, some days I wish I looked and acted differently than I do.
How good it is to be reminded, Lord, that You had me exactly this me in mind long before I came to exist!
So today I present myself to You with a grateful heart.
Help me to be a good steward of my body, be with me in all that I do, teach me to pray, and help me to understand Your words.
Because You designed me, I want to celebrate, nurture, and respect myself for your glory.
By Your power at work in me, I praise You for every molecule, gene, and freckle, every quirk, unique quality that You have made me with.
Bless me with your presence, Dear Lord, reveal yourself to me.
Bless me with a healthy mind and body.
Bless me with patience, wisdom, and understanding.
Bless me with strength and courage.
Bless me with motivation and positive thoughts throughout the day.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a great day and....

Good Day My Friends,

A Happy Wednesday to you!
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about...Psalm 32:10

In Today's lesson we will continue reading I Chronicles, chapters 14 -- 16.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%2014-16&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of King Hiram's kindness to David, the Philistines defeat; the Ark being brought to Jerusalem, and David's psalm of thanksgiving.

Soon after establishing his capital in Jerusalem, David united the nation for a glorious time of praising the Lord while bringing the Ark of God from the house of Obed-edom to Jerusalem. To demonstrate his reverence for God, and in recognition that God was the Supreme Ruler, David humbly laid aside his kingly garments and dressed in a plain linen ephod, a garment the priests wore when ministering before the Lord. In doing this, David was publicly acknowledging his submission to the authority of the supreme King and expressing adoration and praise to his Lord as Almighty God and the true King of Israel.

On that day, David provided an inspiring psalm for his choir to sing. It still lifts our spirits as we worship our wonderful Lord. David proclaimed to the world:
"Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;

Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance; When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.

And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.

Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.

Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth."(16:8-31).

Is it any surprise that David was a man after God's own heart (I Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22) Yes, the Lord reigns. He is still Sovereign and the world needs to hear us praise the Lord and to talk of all His wondrous works.

David also stands out as a man of prayer; thus, we see the often-repeated phrase: David inquired of God (I Chronicles 14:10,14; note: I Samuel 23:2,4; 30:8; II Samuel 2:1; 5:19,23; 21:1).

As a result of these basic, God-honoring characteristics, the fame of David went out into all lands; "And the Lord brought the fear (respect) of him upon all nations" (I Chronicles 14:17).

When we complain and are discouraged it is truly a victory for Satan and an insult to God for we are demonstrating lack of faith in God's Word. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

We also show dissatisfaction with God and His will for our lives. "IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO THY NAME, O MOST HIGH: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night," (Psalm 92:1-2).

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord,
Thank You for blessing me with another day.
Thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.
Forgive me Lord, for complaining and becoming discouraged so easily when things do not go the way I plan or hope.
I know that You are in control and everything You do is for my own good.
I may not always understand at the time or may never know the reasons, but You know what is best for me.
Walk with me Lord, guide me and reveal Yourself to me.
Bless me with the patience I need to let You handle things and not try to handle them on my own.
Bless me with a positive attitude no matter how crazy things get.
Bless me with wisdom and understanding and teach me to listen for you always when You speak to me.
Bless me with strength and courage to walk away from temptation and sin.
Bless me with a healthy mind and body.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Good Day My Friends,

A Happy Tuesday to you!
For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD...Psalm 12:5

In Today's lesson we will continue reading the book of I Chronicles, Chapters 11 -- 13.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%2011-13&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of David being made king over Judah, Israel anointing David king, and his reign in Jebus (Jerusalem).

David did not see any possibility that he could ever be king of Israel when Saul, the first anointed king of Israel, with all his authority and other resources, was determined to kill him.

Saul was also far from being an old man, and he had sons who were the expected heirs to the throne. Moreover, how could David expect that the large and jealous tribe of Ephraim would agree that David, from the tribe of Judah, should rule over them? How would Saul's tribe, the Benjamites, permit the monarchy to be taken from them?

David suffered under very difficult circumstances until it seemed he again had to flee to the land of the Philistines. But then, Saul died a violent death and "Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh. And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel."(I Chronicles 11:1-2)

Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel."(I Chronicles 11:3).

In many respects, David's problems parallel situations that some of us face today. Just as surely as the Lord gives us a desire to accomplish something for His honor, obstacles will appear.

It may be a financial situation that seems hopeless, or simply a feeling of inability to cope with problems. For some of us, not much opposition is needed before we feel there is no use in trying.

Whatever the case, overcoming these difficulties may seem as impossible for us as it was to David becoming king.

The Lord never promised an easy road for any of His followers. In fact, Jesus said:"If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me"(Luke 9:23).

The way of the cross is often long and lonely and it is never popular. Once we submit to the authority of Christ over our lives, we will patiently look to Him for direction and strength.

"Whoso looketh into the perfect Law of liberty, and continueth (remains) therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed"(James 1:25).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for Blessing me with another day.
Thank You for all the blessings you have given me and even the trials in my life, for without those I would not be the person I am today.

My Lord, walk with me, guide me, and give me the patience and strength I need to get through the day. Bless me with a posivite and uplifting mood even if things get in the way.

Lord, in every need let me come to You with humble trust saying, "Jesus, help me."
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Jesus, help me.
In hours of loneliness, weariness, and trials, Jesus, help me.
In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles, and sorrows, Jesus, help me.
When others fail me and Your grace alone can assist me, help me.
When I throw myself on Your tender love as a father and savior, Jesus, help me.
When my heart is cast down by failure and it is seeing no good coming from my efforts, Jesus, help me.
When I feel impatient and my cross irritates me, Jesus, help me.
When I am ill and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely, Jesus, help me.
Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls, and shortcomings of every kind, Jesus, help me and never forsake me.
Bless me family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray....Amen.

Have a wonderful, full of many unexpected blessings.

God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Happy Monday to you!
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head...Psalm 3:3

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of I Chronicles, Chapters 8 -- 10.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%208-10&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of the Descendants of Benjamin, the priests and Levites in Jerusalem and their responsibilities, the genealogy of Saul and the tragic deaths of Saul and his sons.

Only a small minority of Israelites were willing to leave the comforts of the new Persian kingdom and return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple. "Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims (the Temple servants)"(I Chronicles 9:2-3).

The work of the Nethinims may seem rather insignificant, but it was essential work that needed to be done for the Lord. Loyalty to their heavenly King made them willing to work and to serve wherever needed.

Of the Levites, "certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale(count)" (I Chronicles 9:28). This responsibility appears to be of little importance.

"Some were appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments (utensils) of the Sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices"(9:29-30), which perhaps required a little more skill; "And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans."(9:31).

All were ordinary laborers and, to us, may seem hardly worth mentioning. But God esteemed each responsibility as indispensable and worthy of recording and, collectively, all tasks were necessary to fulfill the service to the Lord in the Tabernacle.

"Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing (distributing) to every man severally (individually) as He will, and not necessarily as we prefer (I Corinthians 12:4,11).

Regardless of the seeming importance or insignificance of our abilities, they are a sacred trust from God. The Lord does not expect the person who is given one talent to fulfill the responsibility of the person who has five talents (See Matthew 25:14-30). But, though his talents may be minimal, everyone can do something.

Paul reminded Titus that "They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate"(Titus 1:16).

We are required to be faithful stewards (managers) of our lives and the abilities and opportunities that God has entrusted to us.

"Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God; And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:22-24).

Today's Prayer,

Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with this day.
Thank you for the many gifts and talent that you have given me.
Forgive me for not using them fully and for your glory.
Walk with me, Lord, guide me and teach me to use my talent to the fullest extent and to love it.
Bless me with the patience, wisdom, and understanding I need in all that I do.
Bless me with strength and courage to keep going no matter what comes along to try and stop me from living the life that You have created for me.
Bless me with a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Bless my Family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others, May all come to know you, Lord.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a great day! Remember "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me"

Hello My Friends,

Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's.
He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD...Psalm 113:9

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of I Chronicles, Chapters 6 -- 7.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%206-7&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of the
Descendants of Levi, the Temple singers and keepers, the descendants of Aaron, the cities of the Levites, and of numerous genealogies.

The long and seemingly uninteresting genealogy in these chapters reveals that God does not look on mankind as just a multitude of human beings who populate the earth. The name of every individual priest and Levite, along with the family and tribe he belonged to, was carefully registered.

In gratitude for their spiritual leadership, the other tribes were given the responsibility of sustaining the Levites who lived within their communities through their tithes and offerings.

We see a striking contrast in the character of the men mentioned in these chapters. Of first consideration in this listing was the high priest, who was chosen only from the family of Aaron (I Chronicles 6:3). Aaron, Eleazar, and Ithamar were devoted to their calling as priests, but Aaron's two oldest sons Nadab and Abihu were struck dead when they ignored the Commandments of God. Samuel was a godly judge, but the sons of Samuel; the firstborn Vashni, and Abiah (6:28) were evil.

For a person to have protection from the avenger of blood, he had to flee to a city of refuge. God provided His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to be our Refuge from His judgment against sin. (Compare John 3:14-18; 10:24-30; Galatians 2:16; 3:1-14; Hebrews 10:1-18; I John 2:2; Revelation 1:5.) When, by faith, in obedience to His Word, we come to Christ, He becomes our Refuge (Hebrews 6:18).

The Israelites knew that they had returned to holy ground. God had said the land is Mine (Leviticus 25:23). But it was equally important for the Israelites to recognize that they were a peculiar people (Deuteronomy 14:2; 26:18; Titus 2:14; I Peter 2:9) this means a special, privileged people who belonged to God.

And these facts remind us that we too belong to the Lord, as well as all that we possess. "Ye are not your own. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's"(I Corinthians 6:19-20).

Consequently, there must be a practical expression in every aspect of our life, of the al of our time, talent and tithes for maintaining His work in spreading His Word. Where these aspects of one's daily life are ignored, then it is meaningless to say that we belong to God and are looking forward to hear Him say: "His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."
(Matthew 25:23).

"And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs,"(I Chronicles 6:57).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

I thank You, through Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son, that You kept me safe and blessed me with another day..
Save me, Lord, today as well, from every evil and sin, so that all I do and the way that I live will please you.
I put myself in your care, body and soul and all that I have.
Be with me and guide me, so that the evil enemy will not gain power over me.
Bless me with strength and courage.
Bless me with your love and understanding.
Bless me with the decisions I make and give me the paticence to wait on your timing and not try to do things on my own.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me, may all come to know you, Lord.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Hello My Friends,

A Happy Saturday to you!
He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation...Psalm 24:5

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of I Chronicles, Chapters 3 -- 5.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Chronicles%203-5&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of the descendants of David, Solomon, Judah, Simeon, Reuben, Gad and Manasseh.

God compared the small tribe of Simeon that chose to live in the promised land to the much larger tribe of Reuben that chose not to settle in the promised land. "And some of them, even of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi. And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day."(I Chronicles 4:42-43).

What a contrast this is to the more powerful sons of Reuben. "Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright."(5:1)

"And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring (played the harlot)after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them. And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day." (5:25-26).

The Reubenites chose to live in the fertile lands outside the promised land on the eastern side of the Jordan River, even though it was far from the Tabernacle, which was the only place where God had chosen for people to worship Him (See Numbers 32). They chose what they believed would bring them greater material success rather than spiritual blessings, direction and protection.

Jacob's prophecy regarding Reuben truly came to pass. By birthright, the descendants of the firstborn son should have had preeminence over all the other tribes. But Jacob had prophesied: "Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch"
(Genesis 49:3-4).

Water is a good illustration, because it naturally flows to the lowest possible level. water is also unstable in that it can be driven by the winds as well as evaporate with the heat. The Reubenites are an example of some today who become so involved in the things of the world that little time is left for serving the Lord and for reading His Word.

They too consider the plan of God for their lives less important than satisfying personal ambitions and pleasures. We need not fear that we are not talented enough, strong enough, or good enough. Everything God wants us to be or to do He makes possible. "O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps"(Jeremiah 10:23).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for blessing me with another day.
Thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.
Thank You for the trials You give me, for I would not be the person I am today without the blessings from those trials.
Forgive me, Father, for putting worldly things before you.
Forgive me for when I have gotten so wrapped up in things that I put them before you.

You have blessed me with many talents and gifts and I thank You for that, but using those things should never come first.

Hello My Friends,

A Happy Friday to you! TGIF!
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee....Psalm 9:10

In today's Lesson we will begin reading the book of I Chronicles, Chapters 1-2.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=I%20Chronicles%201-2&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of the
Jesus' lineage through Adam, Noah, Abraham, Israel (Jacob), and Judah.

The first nine chapters of I Chronicles may first appear to be an unimportant list of names. But, this ancient genealogy reveals the exact plan and choices of our Creator in selecting the people whom He qualified to serve Him, beginning with Adam, Sheth (Seth) . . . Noah. . . . Abraham; Isaac. . . . Henoch (Enoch). . . . and Israel (I Chronicles 1:1,4,28,33-34; compare Genesis 5:1-32). Here Jacob is called by his God-given name Israel (compare 35:9-12).

This genealogy was exceedingly important after the Israelites' captivity. It showed how God continued to protect the family line of the coming Messiah, whose descent was traced from Adam through Abraham and David.

In Luke 3:23-38, we see the genealogy of the last Adam, Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 15:22,45), traced through the very names recorded in Chronicles. Unless a man's name had been included in the genealogy of Levi, he could not minister in the Temple.

Our Lord is now drawing to Himself an holy nation, a peculiar (God's own) people (I Peter 2:9), united not by a human genealogical bloodline that dates back to Adam, but united by a spiritual rebirth into the family of God through the blood of the last Adam, Jesus Christ.

Christ is Lord of our lives and oversees every detail. You can be sure that things that happen to believers are never "accidents"; they are allowed by our Lord, the Master Engineer, to prepare us to be the person He can use to accomplish the purpose for which He created us.

As we prayerfully read all His Word, He continually reveals His will to us. Although we do not understand many of the things that God allows a Christian to suffer, His Word makes it clear that He has an eternal purpose for them and our new life in Christ is the beginning of life eternal.

This recorded genealogy is a reminder that soon the final books in heaven will be opened. Jesus promised: He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment (clothing); and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels (Revelation 3:5).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for blessing me with another day.
Walk with me, Lord, Give me a heart that may be truly cleansed and filled with Your Holy Spirit.

Bless me with each day that I may arise to serve You, and lie down to sleep in entire confidence in You. Help me to submit to Your will, ready for life or for death.

My Lord, save me from temptations that cause me to sin, and guide me with Your Spirit, and keep me in faithful obedience to You, through Jesus Christ Your Son.

Bless me with patience, understanding, and wisdom.
Bless me with strength and courage to always follow you and no one else.
Bless me with a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray....Amen.

Have a wonderful day and weekend.

God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Happy Thursday to you!
The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace...Psalm 29:11

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Kings, Chapters 23:21 -- 25.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Kings%2023-25&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of Passover being restored, the destruction of Jerusalem and Temple foretold, the death of Josiah, the fall of Jerusalem, and the captivity of Judah.

Josiah was the last godly king of Judah before the destruction of Jerusalem, "and he did which was right in the sight of the Lord"(See II Kings 22:2; II Chronicles 34:2).

He destroyed all the idolatrous practices in Jerusalem and Judah. "And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD."(23:2)

3And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant."(23:3)

"And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.
And he brake down the houses of the sodomites,(male prostitutes) that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove(Asherah idols)."(II Kings 23:5,7).

Josiah went beyond Judah, into the Assyrian-controlled former northern kingdom to Bethel, where Jeroboam had built one of the golden calves. "And he brake in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men. Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove."(23:14-15)

"And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres(burials) that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words." (23:16) According to the Word of the Lord prophesied almost 300 years before I Kings 13:1-3).

"And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the LORD your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant. Moreover the workers with familiar spirits(mediums), and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD."(II Kings 23:21,24).

The last four kings who followed Josiah were all evil, puppet rulers, appointed by and subject first to Egypt and then to Babylon. Finally, Nebuchadnezzar marched his army into Judah and destroyed Jerusalem.

The destruction of the once-glorious kingdom of Judah and Solomon's Temple reminds us that even the greatest present-day nation on earth, with all its wealth, military might, and nuclear defense, cannot survive regardless of how much the people may pray if they continue to ignore the Word of God.

"And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him. Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.(23:25-26)

"And the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there."(23:27).

"He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession."(Proverbs 28:9-10).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Our Father, who in heaven, hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.

My Lord, walk with us, guide us and protected us.
Bless us with strength, courage and wisdom.

Bless us with good health, relationships, and finances.

Bless our families, friends, and all we come to know.

Bless all who read this message.

In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a great day. Hang in there the week is almost over.

God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Happy Wednesday to you!
Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart...Psalm 32:11

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Kings, Chapters 21 -- 23:20
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Kings%2021-23&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of the evil reigns of Manasseh and Amon, Josiah's good reign, the book of the Law discovered, true worship being restored and idolatry is destroyed.

Hezekiah was one of the best kings in the history of Judah; but his son Manasseh was even more wicked than Hezekiah's father Ahaz, who had closed the Temple (II Chronicles 28:24).

"Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzibah. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel." (II Kings 21:1-2)

"For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name."(II Kings 21:3-4)

"And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger"(II Kings 21:5-6).

Manasseh's wickedness resulted in his being defeated by the fierce Assyrians as God's judgment.
"Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters (shackles), and carried him to Babylon. And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God."(II Chronicles 33:11-13).

The Lord permitted him to return to Jerusalem and be reinstated as king. This was an answer to Manasseh's prayers for mercy and forgiveness, as well as to the prayers of his godly father Hezekiah many years before.

God forgives even the most evil of sinners when they truly repent and pray for forgiveness. Upon being restored as king, Manasseh immediately destroyed the false gods and altars he had previously built and rebuilt the altar and returned to true worship of the Lord.

But Manasseh could not relive the wasted years of his wicked rule or even convince his own son to reject idols and worship the Lord. After Manasseh's death, his son Amon reinstated all the wicked, idolatrous practices of his father's earlier reign "But he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them;"(II Chronicles 33:22).

"And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them"(II Kings 21:21).

This points out the irreversible law of nature: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."(Galatians 6:7-8).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank You for blessing me with another day.
Thank You for allowing me to make my own choices.
Thank You for having so much faith in me that You know what I will do before I do.
Thank You for forgiving me of all my sins and the lessons You give me from them.
Walk with me, Lord, you know my weaknesses and so does satan.
Give me the strength and courage to overcome those weaknesses.
Deliver me from the wicked tricks that satan uses to try and cause me to sin.
Bless me with positive thoughts and motivation through any obstacles I am facing.
Bless me with a healthy mind and body.
Bless me with a prosperious day in all that I do.
Bless me family, freinds, and all I have come to know.
Bless those less fortunate than me and those that I do not know.
May all come to know You, Lord.
Bless all who read this message.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wonderful day! We are half way through the week, we can get through it!

Hello My Friends,

A Happy Tuesday to you!
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope....Psalm 130:5

In today's lesson we will continue reading from the book of II Kings, Chapters 18 -- 20.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Kings%2018-20&version=9

In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of
Hezekiah's reign, Assyria invading Judah, Hezekiah and Isaiah praying and Hezekiah's miraculous healing.

"Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign. Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did." (II Kings 18:1-3).

When Hezekiah became king, he did not follow the ways of his evil father Ahaz; instead, he believed the prophets of God, including the unpopular Micah.

Hezekiah not only benefited from the ministry of Micah, but he also gained spiritual encouragement from the prophet Isaiah. "He removed the high places, and brake the images (the sacred pillars), and cut down the groves (the Asherah idols), and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan." (18:4)

"He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him. For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses."(18:5-6).

Hezekiah led the nation to keep the Passover and renew its covenant with the Lord. So there was great joy in Jerusalem (See II Chronicles 30:26-27). Hezekiah's spiritual reformation was followed by a radical reorganization of the entire administration of both the secular and religious affairs of the kingdom. We learn from Hezekiah that people will be blessed, and prayers will be answered, when the Word of God is obeyed.

The greatest opposition to Isaiah, Micah, and Hezekiah's reformation did not come from the pagan nations around Judah but from the false prophets within their own country, as well as those who worshiped the idols which had been introduced earlier by King Solomon.

Some popular religious leaders today seem to do nothing to encourage people to forsake their sins, live godly lives, and read the Bible. Instead, they preach what appeals to man's physical desires.

Others cry out: Cooperate with the majority, compromise, be tolerant, avoid the extreme right, keep up with the times, don't offend anyone but let everyone believe what he wishes.

Jesus warns of false prophets, deception, and those who claim to be him. "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you."(Matthew 24:4) (Also read Matthew 24:4-12)

Those of us who know the truth and do not fall into the deceptions of others will be saved. "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." (Matthew 24:13)

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank You for blessing me with another day.
Thank You for sending your son, Jesus to show us the truth.
Thank You Jesus, for dying for us and showing us that we may enjoy eternal life with You.
Walk with me, Lord, guide me and protect me as I go abo
