Hello My Friend,

"O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever."- Psalm 107:1

Today is Friday August 31, 2007 and today we will begin our studies of the book of Lamentations. Please read Lamentations, Chapters 1 -- 2. In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn of Jeremiah's lamentation (weeping) over Jerusalem's destruction. Today's lesson will focus on God's judgement.

The book of Lamentations expresses the touching disclosure of love and sorrow that God gives to those who He chastises. He spoke through Jeremiah as He weeps over the destruction of Jerusalem.

Jeremiah was deeply grieved that the holy city of Jerusalem had become so empty and alone. "How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary (a small nation)! She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies. Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits." (Lamentations 1:1-3).

Jeremiah goes on to tells us why Jerusalem was reduced to such destruction, "Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy." (1:5).

The prophet Jeremiah compared the once wealthy, secure, and proud Israelites to a widow who had lost her husband. The loving Lord was the generous Provider and powerful Protector of Israel, but the people rejected Him (See Jeremiah 3:20). As a widow, Jerusalem was now alone, weeping in the night, with no one to comfort her. "Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward." (Lamentations 1:8).

The Covenant of God with Israel required willing obedience to His Word, but they had not kept their part of the Covenant. Spiritual neglect eventually led the Israelites to lose not only their personal liberty but also the precious privilege to let the world know the One True God who expects them to reject their idols and worship their Creator.

We too have one supreme reason for living, and it is not to obtain financial security, popularity, or material success, or to look forward to the next vacation. The question that needs to be addressed is: Will we read how we must live to please our Creator or suffer the consequences?

Pity the person who is wasting the few short years of his life chasing social and financial goals, but failing to achieve the purpose for which God created him. Jesus asked a sobering question: "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46). Obviously, we can't do something we don't know, so, He calls upon each of us to know His Scriptures, His Guide to Life.

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause." (II Corinthians 5:10-13).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day here on earth. Thank you for the many blessings You give me each day. Thank you for the food I eat, the water I drink, the air I breathe and the means that provide my food and shelter.

Lord, I want to life my life for Your glory, forgive me for the days I wasted and did not do the things that You called me to do. Cleanse me and make me new again and bless me with strength and courage to follow You.

Lord, bless me with a healthy spirit, mind, and body. Help me accept the things I can not change and give me the patience to endure all obstacles that come my way to change what I am able to change.

Bless my family, friends, and all I come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and those who read this message. Bless those who do not know You and those who refuse to know You. Woirk in their hearts, guide them, and give them peace knowing that You will answer all prayers when the time is right. May all come to know You, Lord.

In Jesus' name, I pray...Amen.

God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Joyful and Glorious day to you!

"But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer."- Psalm 66:19

Today is Thursday August 30, 2007 and in this lesson we will complete our study of the book of Jeremiah. Please Jeremiah Chapters 51 -- 52. In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn about the judgment of Babylon, the fall of Jerusalem, and the captivity of Judah. Today's message will focus on staying faithful to God through difficulties.

The spectacular empire of the Chaldeans surpassed anything the world had ever known. Its capital, Babylon, appeared invincible, with walls over 300 feet high and wide enough for chariots to ride two abreast. The empire was enjoying absolute rule over all the nations when Jeremiah declared that Babylon is suddenly fallen and end has come. Babylon shall ruins without occupants. (Read Jeremiah 51:8-62). "Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies." (51:7-9)

After the fall of Babylon, Cyrus, the conquering king of the Persian Empire, issued a decree urging the Jews to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. Most of the older generation that had been taken captive to Babylonia had died. The new generation was prospering under the new Persian rule and, consequently, only a small number felt a desire to leave.

The unwillingness of the majority of the Jews to forsake the luxuries of Babylon for the poverty and hardships they would experience in returning to Jerusalem has a modern-day parallel. How accurately this describes some who love the pleasures of the world and will not respond to the invitation of Christ, "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it." (Luke 9:23-24).

Many who seemingly consent to be "followers" of Christ drop out when things become difficult. Jesus illustrated this in His parable concerning the seed sown in stony places and among thorns. He likened such people to those who is offended when tribulation comes. "Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful." (Matthew 13:21-22). Can anyone think it possible for a person to take up his cross daily (Luke 9:23) and yet devote his time, tithes, and talents to personal pleasures on the Lord's Day?

"And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life." (Mark 10:29-30).

During our time of difficulties it is so easy to just walk away from God, this is what satan wants us to do. However, no matter what we are going through in life God promises us that through all the trials and tribulations come rewards and blessings beyond anythign that we have ever expected. Trust in the Lord and all will be taken care of.

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with this day. Thank you for the many blessings You give me each day.

Lord, I will admit that there were times in my life when I wanted to give up on everything and have thought to myself why follow You when all it seems to do is cause more pain. Since then I have learned that through it all You never left my side and strengthened me along the way allowing me to come back to you with no questions.

Lord, forgive me of my sins and thank you for not giving up on me. Walk with me, guide me and be with me in all that I do. Give me the strengthen to always follow You no matter what comes my way. I know that through You all things are possible.

In Jesus name, I pray....Amen.

God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Good Morning, Noon, & Night to you!
"Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake."- Psalm 79:9

Today is Wednesday August 29, 2007 and for toiday's lesson we will continue our studies on the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah Chapters 49 - 50. In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn about the Judgments held against Ammon, Edom, Damascus, Kedar, Hazor, Elam, and Babylon foretold, and the redemption of Israel is promised. today's message will focus on emotional sin.

Jeremiah prophesied long ago that the Ammonites, descendants of Lot who were historically hostile to the Israelites, would be destroyed (See Jeremiah 27:3-6). Here we see that prophesy ringing true. "Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD." (Jeremiah 49:2). The Lord then turned to Moab, saying: "Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth." (49:5).

Our attention is turned to Edom, a nation that descended from Jacob's twin brother Esau. Edom had always been a jealous enemy of Jacob's descendants and had joined Nebuchadnezzar in plundering Jerusalem. They even expanded their territory into southern Judah, inhabiting an area later called Idumea, the birthplace of Herod, the king. Because of their actions toward Israel, Edom's fate was foretold by the prophet: "But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not. Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me. For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it." (49:10-12).

Judgment was then pronounced against Babylon "The word that the LORD spake against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet. Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces. For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast." (50:1-3).

Not only the release of Israel from captivity is foretold but the Israelites will eventually repent and accept their Messiah Jesus in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten. "In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God. They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten." (50:4-5).

We can expect the forces of evil to discourage us in an effort to destroy our faith in God. However, God is not glorified by our fears, doubts, or frustrations. We must keep our eyes on the promises of God that have never failed. Consequently, there is never a valid reason to allow the pressures and problems of life to depress or frustrate us. In fact, discouragement is a sin. "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." (James 1:2-4)

However, God assures us that if we walk in faith and away from the temptation of our emotions that we will be blessed beyond measure. "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." (James 1:12).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings that You have given me today.

Lord, I admit that there are times in my life when I have gotten discouraged, frustrated, angry, or worried over situations in my life. I chose to handle these things on my own terms instead of Yours resulting in even more of a set back.

Lord, forgive me of my sins, cleanse me and make me pure from these emotions that plague my mind and body. Lead me and guide me, Lord and bless me with the strength and courage to always follow You and hand all my emotional situations over to You.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I come to know. Blkess those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others. Bless our nations and all who read this message with peace and comfort. Bless those who do not know You and those who refuse to know you. May they all come to know You, Lord.

In Jesus name' I pray.......Amen.

God Bless

Hello My Friends,

Today is Tuesday: August 28, 2007. The first thing I want to do before going further with this study is to apologize for my lack of getting this message out at the time I promised. I know some of you look forward to them daily and I have failed the last couple of weeks at getting them out at a decent time, satan has really been getting to me. Forgive me and I hope you have not given up on reading the messages.

"Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily."- Psalm 102:2

In today's lesson we will continue our studies on the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah, Chapters 45 -- 48. In today's Scripture Reading we will learn about Jeremiah's message to Baruch, the judgment against Egypt, Philistia, and Moab. Today's message will focus on accepting present circumstances and accomplishing God's will through them.

Among all the prophecies of Jeremiah, the Lord included a personal message to just one man, Baruch, Jeremiah's discontented assistant. "Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch: Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest." (Jeremiah 45:2-3). Perhaps he had hoped that his service as a scribe would be a means of achieving personal ambitions and recognition, or other self-serving goals.

Baruch's grandfather Maaseiah had been governor of Jerusalem during Josiah's reign. "And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison." (32:12; See also II Chronicles 34:8). Perhaps Baruch secretly thought he was overqualified to be a mere scribe to an unpopular prophet.

Instead of rewards, or even words of sympathy for his frustrations, Baruch received a strong rebuke from the Lord: "And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest." (Jeremiah 45:5).

Baruch expressed no heartfelt grief regarding the impending destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple of God or the pitiful slavery of the people, as Jeremiah had foretold. Instead, he only expressed sorrow over his own lack of personal fulfillment.

Although Baruch was recording the Word of God spoken through Jeremiah, he did not have the spiritual concern or insight of the prophet. Jeremiah was deeply concerned for the people, desiring that they repent of their sins and avoid the coming judgment and destruction. Baruch should have considered it a great privilege to be a coworker in Jeremiah's ministry.

Our time and talents are precious treasures invested in us by the God of all creation to accomplish His will through us. True fulfillment comes only when we recognize that God has arranged these circumstances in our lives.

Baruch is typical of those who are dissatisfied with their circumstances or their position of less value than they think they deserve. However those who God can use because realize that godliness with contentment is great gain. "If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out." (I Timothy 6:3-7).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings that you have given me today.

Lord, I need you in my life, without You I am weak and fragile and quick to do anything that my flesh feels will make me happy. When it all comes down to it I am not complete without You in my life. All material things are just masks to show off to others.

Lord, walk with me, guide me, and be with me in all that I do. Teach me to listen for you and put You first in my life. I know that as long as I do that I will be blessed and recieve many more blessings than I have ever expected.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not know you. Bless our nations and all who read this message. Guide them, protect them, and give them peace knowing that You will answer all prayers when the time is right. Bless those who have lost their way from You and those who refuse to know You, work in their hearts and may You use me to be a blessing to them and lead them to You.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Good Monday to you!
"Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways."- Psalm 128:1

In today's lesson we will continue our studies of th book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah, Chapters 41 -- 44. In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn about Gedaliah's assassination, Jeremiah being taken to Egypt, the and the misery of Judah because of idolatry. Today's message will focus on th distortion of God's Word and staying faithful to God through trials.

God allowed Nebuchadnezzar to defeat His rebellious people and fulfill His prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem. "Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;" (Jeremiah 40:7).

Gedaliah set up his government at Mizpah, about five miles northwest of the ruins of Jerusalem. He then held a banquet in honor of Ishmael at Mizpah. Ishmael was a leader of an anti-Babylonian nationalist party. At this event, Ishmael and his ten companions murdered Gedaliah. "But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah." (II Kings 25:25, See also Jeremiah 40:7 -- 41:18). The Israelites who remained in the land evidently expected Nebuchadnezzar to retaliate and escaped into Egypt, forcing Jeremiah to go with them.

In Egypt, Jeremiah watched the Israelites sink further into sin as they worshiped the Egyptian goddess Ashtoreth. When confronted with their sins by the prophet Jeremiah they responded by telling him that they ar not going to listen to him. "Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying, As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil." (44:15-17).

Because of their neglect of the Word of God, obedience to the living God did not exist. Like so many today, they distorted the facts to fit their decision and said to Jeremiah I will not listen to what you have to say.

Some would say the godly prophet Jeremiah surely deserved better treatment than this for his loyalty to the Lord. However, though he was distressed over the unbelief of his people, Jeremiah had nothing to fear. He knew his life was in the hands of the living God. Jeremiah never compromised, but remained loyal to God regardless of the consequences.

Centuries have passed and you can be sure that in heaven Jeremiah has no regrets. May it also be our desire to say with God's servant, the Apostle Paul: "But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. "But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ," (Philippians 3:7-8).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blesings that You give me each day.

Lord, during difficult times sometimes we feel like we want to give up and do what we want to do instead of waiting on You for th answers. Forgive us for our sins and not trusting You to take care of these things for me.

Lord, bless me, my family, and all I have come to know. Bless those less forunate than me, those who do not know You, those who refuse to know you and those who rad this message. Walk wih us, guide us, and lead us in the direction that You have set out for us. Help us to always follow Your will and not he will of our flesh. Teach us to listen and understand and give us peace knowing that You will answer all our prayers when the time is right and that they may not be answered in the way that we expect. May all come to know You, Lord.

In Jesus' name, I pray.....Amen.

God Bless

Good Day My Friends,

A Joyful and Happy Sunday to you.
"Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul."- Psalm 54:4

Today we will continue to study the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah Chapters 37 -- 40 for further study. In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn about Jeremiah imprisoned in a dungeon, his counsel rejected, Jerusalem being destroyed, Jeremiah getting set free, and Ishmael's plan to assassinate Gedaliah. Today's message will focus on the consequeces faced by those who refuse to seek God's forgiveness.

During the 11th year of Zedekiah's evil reign, the armies of Nebuchadnezzar surrounded Jerusalem. "And king Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah." Zedekiah frantically said to Jeremiah: "Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us." (Jeremiah 21:2) However they did not listen so the war took place. "But neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, did hearken unto the words of the LORD, which he spake by the prophet Jeremiah." (37:1,2).

Believing that Egypt would protect his kingdom from the Babylonians, Zedekiah sent his officials to Egypt to make an alliance. Because it also seemed wise to show "good will" to the prophet, "And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now unto the LORD our God for us" (37:3). Instead of praying, Jeremiah replied: "Thus saith the LORD; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart. For though ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire." (37:9-10).

When the Chaldean army retreated from Jerusalem, the Israelites believed their alliance with Egypt had been successful without the prayers of the prophet. Yet Zedekiah was uneasy. He removed Jeremiah from prison and asked him secretly in his house Is there any word from the Lord? "Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon." (37:17).

The fortified city of Jerusalem held out for nearly a year and a half. During this time the people suffered the horrors of famine, pestilence, and cannibalism. When Zedekiah finally attempted to escape the city at night, he was captured near Jericho, where Joshua much earlier had victoriously begun the conquest of the promised land. "But the Chaldeans' army pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him." (39:5).

Zedekiah was blinded, taken to Babylon, and imprisoned. "Moreover he put out Zedekiah's eyes, and bound him with chains, to carry him to Babylon. And the Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem." (39:7,8).

Zedekiah is an example of the consequences of those who refuse to seek the Lord's forgiveness for their sins. Regarding those, the Apostle Paul wrote: "The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not " (II Corinthians 4:4).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings that you give me each day.

Lord, forgive me of my sins and cleanse me. Bless me with a pure heart that trusts and obey you.

Lord, walk with me, guide me and be with me as I go about my day. Bless me with wisdom and knowledge to make the right decisions and follow the path that You have chosen for me.

Lord, bless my family, friends and all I have come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others. Bless those who do not know you or refuse to know you, may they all come to know you, Lord. Bless all who read this message.

In Jesus, name, I pray....Amen.

Enjoy the rest of your day and my it be full of many unexpected blessings.

Hello My Friends,

A Joyful Saturday to you. I apologize for not getting a message out yesterday I have been having internet problems, hopefully it is all straight now.
"I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved."

Today we will continue our study of the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah Chapters 34 -- 36. In today's Scripture reading we will learn about Jeremiah's warning to Zedekiah, the obedience of the Rechabites, a scroll read by Jehudi and destroyed by King Jehoiakim. Today's message will focus on God's purpose through difficulties.

Over three years after the Egyptians conquered Judah and appointed Jehoiakim as its king, Nebuchadnezzar defeated the Egyptians, invaded Jerusalem, and appointed Jehoiakim as his servant-king. Unlike his godly father Josiah, Jehoiakim was a ruthless, cruel ruler.

At that time, Jeremiah instructed his secretary Baruch to record the judgment of God saying "Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day." (Jeremiah 36:2).

Then Jeremiah commanded Baruch to read the scroll "Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities. It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people" (36:6-7). The princes (leaders) were disturbed by the prophet's words and immediately informed the king. "So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king." (36:21).

"And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth." (36:23). But, that was all he could do. It was beyond his power to destroy the truth the scroll contained.

Like Jehoiakim, some today seal their fate by refusing to read and believe the truth that God considers necessary to fulfill His will. History records many Bible burnings; but what is the difference between burning it or not reading it?

Without a doubt, the godly suffer because of the sins of others. But, God is able to bless the faithful. Without exception: "All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with a new day. Thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.

Lord, my flesh is weak and has such a hard time dealing with difficult situations. It wants to run and hide or take things in it's own hands which often makes things worse. However I know that through You I have the strength to overcome all those difficulties.

Forgive me Lord, for not living the potential that You know I have and thank you for not giving up on me. Walk with me, guide me and lead me in the direction intended. Bless me with the strength, courage and wisdom to follow you and not my flesh.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

Good Day My Friend,

A Happy & Joyful Thursday to you!
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever." -Psalm 111:10

For today's lesson we will continue our study on the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah, Chapters  32 -- 33. In today's Scripture Reading we will learn about Jeremiah's imprisonment, then he buys a field at Anathoth, the return to Jerusalem is promised, and Christ, the Branch of Righteousness is promised. today's message will focus our faith in God's Word.

The king of Babylon's army overwhelmed Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was imprisoned in the king of Judah's house to keep him from talking. "For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house." (Jeremiah 32:2). Yet, under such adverse circumstances when the destruction of the nation was about to happen, the Lord spoke to Jeremiah "And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying, Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:" (32:25-28). Without hesitation Jeremiah paid for the land, took receipts, registered the purchase, then handed over the documents in the presence of many witnesses (32:9-12).

This business transaction would have seemed ridiculous to those who had heard Jeremiah's repeated warnings of approaching destruction and captivity. But, Jeremiah had also proclaimed that the people would be restored to the land, and this purchase of land was evidence of his faith that the Sovereign God would faithfully fulfill His Word.

Although Jeremiah could not see how God would accomplish this prophecy, his faith was in the unfailing Word of God, who also said: "I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for Me?" (32:27). God gave Jeremiah a fresh assurance concerning the future of Israel by saying: "Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:" (32:37).

Our faith in the Word of God can be measured by the influence we allow it to have upon our behaviour. God knows exactly what He is doing and many times the difficulties we face are a result of an ungodly behavior or our lack of faith. However, God does not give up, He knows that eventually His people will get back on track and follow through with the plans that He has for us.

The more you get into God's Word the easier it is for you to understand and recieve it in your heart. Believe me, the more you read, the more it sinks in and keeps you from doing many things that you use to do. It also strengthens your faith more and more each time you read.

How wonderful to know that, in the midst of the most difficult circumstances, we can rest assured that God is merciful and will protect and provide for the needs of His faithful servants. The Lord's invitation still is: "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." (33:3)

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.

Lord, I know there have been times in my life where my faith has been tested and I have failed. Maybe some of the things I am going through now are the result of that. However, you are a great and mighty God and I know that You will get me through anything that I get myself into. You tell me that all I need is the faith of a mustard seed and You will see me through.

Lord, I believe and know that you can do great and mighty things, I call to you, Lord. I put all my fatih and trust in You and know that with You all things are possible.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

Enjoy the rest of your day,
God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Joyful and Bless filles Wednesday to you.
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."- Psalm 46:10

Today's lesson we will continue to study the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah 29 -- 31. In today's Scripture reading we will learn about a letter to the captives in Babylon,  the Jew's deliverance after 70 years is foretold, and a full restoration of all things foretold. Today's message will focus on bitterness and discontent.

Just as Jeremiah foretold the full end of the powerful kingdoms of Assyria and Babylon did take place. These two powerful world empires were destroyed just as the Lord had foretold. During the Babylonian captivity, the Lord taught "And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace." (29:7).

This means they were to pray for, and be a blessing to those who were captive; and in turn they would be blessed by God. The Lord reminds us also of the self-destructive results of hatred, of bitterness and holding grudges, or of seeking revenge when we are mistreated or faced with opposition.

Jeremiah also prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem and the captivity of the small kingdom of Judah. "And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them: Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD." (Jeremiah 30:18-19).

The Lord also revealed to Jeremiah that, at a time in the future He would make a New Covenant: "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people." (31:33).

God bless the person who, even though physically free, remains shackled with dissatisfaction about his circumstances and is longing for a time when he can be free and enjoy living. Perhaps he is waiting until he has a promotion or a better home, or for retirement. But he is always waiting for a release from his present situation. An even more serious example is the person who has been offended and has refused to get over the offense. Often such people are engulfed in bitter resentment and have made themselves prisoners of their own miserable attitudes that they do not know how to live peacefully. "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." (Hebrews 13:5-6).

The Apostle Peter was led to write: "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." (I Peter 1:13-16).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings that you give me each day.

Lord, I know there are times that I have been offended by something someone said or did in the past. Forgive me for letting things get to me and holding on to the bitterness that came along with it. Cleanse me and help me to continue this day forward walking with You in peace knowing that through difficult times and people You are guiding me and strenthening me.

In Jesus' name, I pray.......Amen.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
God Bless

Good Day My Friends,

A Beautiful Tuesday to you!
"As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice."- Psalm 55:16-17

Today we will continue our study of the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah Chapters 26 -- 28. In today's Scripture reading we will learn about Jeremiah's arrest, Judah's subjection to Nebuchadnezzar is foretold, and Hananiah's false prophecy and his death. Today's message will focus on being prepared.

During the early part of Zedekiah's reign, God commanded Jeremiah to make a yoke(bond) and put it on his own neck, symbolizing the coming captivity of the kingdom of Judah. "Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck, And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;" Jeremiah (27:2-3)

Jeremiah proclaimed that, because of their sin, along with that of Moab, Ammon, Tyrus, and Zidon, God had appointed Nebuchadnezzar as ruler over all these nations. "And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him." (Jeremiah 27:6). However God assured all who out their neck under the yoke that they will be free from Nebuchadnezzar's control. "But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein." (27:11)

Sometime earlier, when Jeremiah had prophesied something similar, the priesthood was determined to kill him. "When the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king's house unto the house of the LORD, and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house. Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears" (Jeremiah 26:10-11).

However, when Jeremiah's prophecy was fulfilled and the Israelites were defeated by Nebuchadnezzar, it began the times of the Gentiles. "And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden (trampled) down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." (Luke 21:24). We are nearing the end of that final generation when the times of the Gentiles will be fulfilled. God, in His sovereign power, has caused the Jews to return to Jerusalem and once again become a nation before the coming of the Messiah, King Jesus, just as He declared centuries ago.

God has not indicated when it will take place. Therefore, we do not look for signs, but should be prepared for that day. Let us faithfully and diligently tell others how they can be prepared for His return. Failure to do so will result in eternal damnation for all who do not receive Christ as their Savior and Lord. "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (Titus 2:11-14).

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Thank you for the sun, the rain, and the night sky.

Lord, walk with me, guide me and be with me as I go about my day. Bless me with a prosperous day in all that I do and help me to make sure I am going in the right direction that You have chosen for me. Help me to stay focused and concentrate on the things that are important and give me the strength to overcome any temptations, thoughts, or emotions that cause me to sin.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not know you. Bless our nations and all who read this message. Watch over them, protect them and give them peace knowing that You will answer all prayers when the time is right. May all come to know you Lord and may You use me to be a blessing to others.

In Jesus' name, I pray.....Amen.

Have a wonderfully blessed filled day.
God Bless

Hello My Friend,

A Joyful and Prosperous Monday to you!
"Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me."- Psalm 101:6

In today's lesson we will continue to study the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah Chapters 23 -- 25. In today's Scripture reading we will learn about Future restoration, the Branch that will execute judgment, lying prophets, signs of good and bad figs, and the judgment on Babylon is foretold. Today's message will focus on God's comfort and faithfulness to His people.

Only a few months remained before the Babylonians' destruction of the kingdom of Judah. It was now too late to pray for Jerusalem or for the Temple to be saved from destruction. It was at this time that Judah's last king, Zedekiah, would have his eyes gouged out and be taken in chains to Babylon. "And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon." (II Kings 25:7). These prophecies are all horrifying reminders that sin and suffering are inseparable and that judgment is inevitable whenever the Word of God is disregarded.

Jeremiah's message turned from one of the coming judgment to one of comfort to them. The Lord led him to illustrate with two baskets of figs. "One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad." (Jeremiah 24:2). Then the Lord led him to explain that the good figs represented God's faithfulness to the His people, that He would bring them out of captivity and back to Him." Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good. For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up. And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart." (24:5-7).

There were three fig harvests -- June, August, and November. The first figs, in June, were considered a great delicacy. The Lord was lovingly sending the chosen "good figs" into captivity to correct them "for their own good." Even while the armies of Babylon were surrounding Jerusalem, Jeremiah assured those who were faithful to God's Word that they will overcome their adversities and prosper in the end. "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS." (Jeremiah 23:5-6). At the proper time the Lord Jesus Christ will fulfill this prophecy concerning Himself and when we receive Christ as our Savior He becomes for us THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

We too are comforted knowing that Jesus is the branch that reigns and rescued us from living in captivity. We are now the ambassadors of Christ who makes us righteous through Him. "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (II Corinthians 5:20-21). We will face adversities, but those who continue to follow God through it all and stay true to His Word will overcome those adversities nd prosper even more.

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Thank you for helping me through the good, bad, and ugly times in my life.

Lord, I may never understand some of the things that I go through, but I know that You have a plan for me and that You will see me through them all, making me stronger than I have ever been. I know I will overcome and prosper in all that come my way because I know that You are with me.

Lord, continue to walk with me, guide me, and lead me in that direction that You have chosen for me. Forgive me of my sins and bless me with the strength and courage to follow You and not the emotions or temptations of my flesh.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know, bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others. Bless our nations and all who read this message.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

Enjoy the rest of your day and week,
God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Happy & Joyful Sunday to you.
"So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations."- Psalm 79:13

In today's lesson we will continue to study the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah Chapters 19 -- 22. In today's Scripture reading we will learn about Jeremiah being beaten and imprisoned by Pashur, Jeremiah's grief, the destruction of Jerusalem is foretold, and the way of life or death. Today's message will focus on teaching God's Word.

During the last days of the kingdom of Judah, Jeremiah courageously faced the son of the chief governor of the high priest and said: "For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword. 6 And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies."  (Jeremiah 20:4,6).

Soon the people of Judah learned of the defeat of Assyria and then of Egypt. With Nebuchadnezzar's victory in the battle at Carchemish, Babylon emerged as the new dominant world power. This confirmed what Isaiah had foretold about 100 years earlier. "Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD. And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon." (Isaiah 39:6-7).

Even after being fully informed of the results of rejecting the Word of God, the religious leaders not only refused to repent, but they began a campaign to discredit Jeremiah before the king and the nation. Jeremiah sat alone in prison, he was discouraged and then he recorded: "I will not make mention of Him, nor speak any more in His Name. But His Word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay (hold it in) (Jeremiah 20:9)." Jeremiah may have thought that he had failed to communicate to the people the importance of obeying the Word of God.

Most spiritual leaders or teachers have, at some time, felt that they failed in fulfilling their God-given responsibility to teach the Word of God. But, far beyond all his own expectations, Jeremiah has been an inspiration to millions of believers for many centuries. However, God has assured us that our efforts will not go un-noticed. "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11).

Regardless of circumstances, everyone who is devoted to the Lord and to teaching the Word of God or provides the money to make it possible for others to teach His Word has laid up treasures in heaven. Jesus promised: "For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." (Luke 6:44-45).

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.

Walk with me, guide me and lead me in the direction that You have chosen for me. Help me to stay on track and stand by what I believe in no matter what others say to me.

Lord, bless me with a healthy mind, body and spirit that allows me to do Your will consciously and effectively. Bless my family, friends, and all I come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others. Bless those who do not know You, may they all come to know You, Lord. Bless our nations and all who read this message.

In Jesus' name, I pray.......Amen.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Happy & Joyful Saturday to you.
"My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:"- 63:5

Today we will continue our studies on the book Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah Chapters 15 -- 18. In today's Scripture Reading we will learn about Jeremiah's prayer, the signs of Judah's captivity, Sabbath regulations, a lesson from the potter, and God's absolute power over the nations. Today's message will focus on God's chosen people and His plans to use you as His guide.

God gives us many opportunities to turn over our evil ways for the good and to turn to Him to get us out of self destruction. "The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant (remains); verily I will cause the enemy to entreat (plead) thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction." (Jeremiah 15:11). However, when the Israelites rejected God and His Word as their way of life, they forfeited the privilege of His protection and suffered tragic spiritual and physical loss. To understand the Israelites' problems and their final outcome, Jeremiah was sent to the potter's house to see a live illustration of what God was about to do.

God said to Jeremiah: "Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear My words. Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought (was making) a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred (ruined) in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it" (18:2-4). Then the Lord said: "O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. 10 If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them." (18:6,10).

The vessel represents God's chosen people, it was disfigured in the hand of the potter and it was the hardness within the clay itself and not the failure of the potter that made the vessel worthless. In other words when Israel had rejected the will of God it (isreal) became disfigured by its sin. Consequently, Isreal was broken and taken into captivity by Babylon, a nation used as the instrument of God. After 70 years of captivity. "And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years." (25:11), God made the clay into another vessel which was the small group of Jews who willingly returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple and worship Him.

We are like earthen vessels and God has a special plan for each of us to be a vessel for His use, even though we too are distorted by sin. However, when we yield ourselves to the Master Potter, with His loving hands He will mold us again into another vessel, one better prepared to contain and express the presence of Christ Himself. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (II Corinthians 5:17)

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Thank you for the food I eat, the water I drink and the air I breathe.

Lord, I know that You have a plan for my life and that I will see many obstacles keeping me from fulfilling that plan. Walk with me, guide me and give me the strength to plow through the obstacles. Forgive me for letting my flesh guide me instead of You guide me. Bless me with a prosperous day in all that I do and help me to be a blessing to others.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not know You. Bless all who refuse to know you, work in their hearts and may all come to know you, Lord. Bless our nations and all who read this message.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

Have a great afternoon and weekend.
God Bless You

Good Day My Friends,

A Glourious Friday to you!
"I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope."- Psalm 130:5

Today we are continuing our studies of the book of Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah, Chapters 11 -- 14. In today's Scripture Reading we will learn about Jeremiah's proclamation of God's Covenant, his complaint, demonstration of a marred girdle, filled bottles, and a famine as a warning. Today's message focuses on Spiritual condition.

As we look back, all Israelites were called to be holy and to serve the Lord, as He said to Moses: "I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves and ye shall be holy" (Leviticus 11:44). And, in return, God promised to provide all their needs. Instead, the majority of the people had forsaken the Lord to worship idols.

To demonstrate their collaspe God sent instructions to Jeremiah: "Thus saith the LORD unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water. So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins." (Jeremiah 13:1,2). Back then Hebrew men wore tunics, which were long, loose, gown-like clothing. In order to hold the tunic close to the body while they were working they wore a sash-like belt around the waist which is called a girdle. The girdle represented the close relationship of the Israelites to Jehovah (Yahweh, God).

Then God instructed Jeremiah to bury the girdle: "And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock. So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me. And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there. Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing." (13:3-7). The girdle represented the spiritual condition of the Israelites.

Then Jeremiah spoke: "Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem. This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing." (13:8-10).

Like the Israelites, some today are content on satisfying self-interests with their talents, time, and tithes while rejecting their opportunities to serve the Lord. Unfortunately, many will discover too late that they have forfeited their God-given opportunities. "Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears."  (Hebrews 12:16-17).

God has given us a great gift and that gift is free will. He gives us a choice to let Him lead us or let the world lead us. Those who choose to let God lead us will still have their share of difficulties, but those difficulties bring an abundance of blessings far beyond what the world can give us. A wordly life can be fun for a while, but after all the fun is over, what is left. Self destruction, emptiness? "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD" (Joshua 24:15)

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings that you have given me. Thank you for my family, friends, and all I meet along the way. Thank you for the struggles and the blessigns that come out of the struggles. Thank you for not giving up on me and giving me a chance to get things right.

Lord, walk with me, guide me, and be with me as I go about this day. Watch over me, protect me and give me peace knowing that You are near. Forgive me of my sins and help me to forgive those who have sinned upon me. Bless me with a healthy mind, body. and spirit. Bless me with a prosperous day in all that I do and teach me to see the blessings in all things. Work in my heart and help me strengten my faith. I know I can do all things through You.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others. Bless those who do not know You and those who have fallen away or refuse to know You. Work in their hearts and use me to be a steward to bring those souls back to You. Bless our nations with peace and bless all who read this message.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

Have a wonderful day and weekend.
God Bless

Good Day My Friends,

A Joyful & Blessed Thursday to you!
"I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations."- Palm 89:1

Today we will continue our studies on the book of Jeremiah. We will be reading Jeremiah Chapters 7 -- 10. In today's Scripture Reading we will learn about a plea for repentance, the punishment for Judah's rebellion, mourning over the people's sins, idols perishing. Today's message will focus on the expectation that God's chosen people can still live secret sinful lives.

All adult men that were physically able were required by Law to attend three major feasts annually in Jerusalem. These occasions were to be joyful celebrations of praise to God for His blessings and protection. But, on this occasion Jeremiah did not give the crowd a warm welcome; instead, he pronounced a harsh conviction: "2 Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD. 9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?" (Jeremiah 7:2,9-10).

The people considered Jeremiah's preaching far too narrow-minded, so they did not accept this prophet of God. They had declared: "How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain." (8:8). The physical presence of the Scriptures and the Temple gave them a false sense of security. Jeremiah warned them: "The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them? Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace." (8:9-11).

They were confident that God would never allow them to be destroyed since they were His chosen people. But the Lord's Covenants do not give His people license to sin or to ignore His Word. Even now people foolishly assume that each person should have the freedom to worship whomever or whatever he chooses according to his own conscience. However, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6).

Some today call themselves Christians but continue to give into secret sins. Jesus asks those who say they are Christians while still living sinful lives: "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46). They pick and choose what they want to believe is the truth of the Bible. Jesus reminds us that those who choose to believe in Him shall be free, but those who continue to live in sin are servants of sin and therefore captive. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." (John 8:31-34).

He also declared: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (live in sin)." (Matthew 7:21-23).

Those who truly accept Jesus begin to depart from their sinful nature, yes the flesh is weak, but our faith gets stronger as we grow in our relationship with Him helping us to overcome these weaknesses. God will never tempt us beyond what we are capable of handling and He will always give us a way out.

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with a new day. Thank you for the many blessings you have given me this day. Thank you for a hot, sunny day, the rain in the afternoon, and the cooler night to help us sleep.

Lord, walk with me, guide me, and be with me as I go about my day. My flesh is weak, Lord, but as long as You are with me I am strong. Bless me with a prosperous day in all that I do, help me to stay positive and uplifted no matter what obstacles come my way. Bless me with a healthy body and mind and give me the strength and energy to do the things I need to do today.

Lord, bless my family, friends and all I come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not know you. May all come to know You, Lord. Bless our nations with peace and an end to all war and conflicts. Bless all who read this message.

In Jesus' name, I pray.......Amen.

Have a wondeful day.

God Bless

Good Day My Friend,

A Happy Wednesday to you! Wow! Half way through the week already.
"For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good."- Psalm 122:8-9

Today we will be continuing our studies of the book of Jeremiah. We will Jeremiah Chapters 4 -- 6. In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn about God's call to Israel, Jeremiah's lamentations for Judah, spiritual and civil corruption, and the destruction of Judah. today's message will focus on worshiping false gods.

As we learned yesterday the prophet Jeremiah began his public ministry during the reign of King Josiah of Judah. He exposed the worldly, compromising lifestyle of the Israelites when he called them foolish people, and without understanding. "Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:" (5:21). The reason for their lack of understanding was clear  they were rebellious against God in their hearts. Jeremiah mourned:

"To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days. And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD. For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely." (6:10-13).

Josiah's grandfather Manasseh and his father Amon were wicked kings who had led the people to forsake God and had encouraged worship of false gods. However, young Josiah chose to follow the Lord. "And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left." (II Kings 22:2). No doubt, Jeremiah was a great encouragement and influence on Josiah. After he had purged the land, Josiah began repairing the Temple and restoring worship of the One True God (See II Chronicles 34:8-33). He then initiated a Passover feast unequaled in Israel's history from the days of the judges. "Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;" (II Kings 23:22).

Following Josiah's death (23:30-32), his son, Jehoahaz reverted to the evil ways of his grandfather Amon and great-grandfather Manasseh. With deep concern, we see a parallel between the false gods and the immorality of Judah that led to its defeat and the growth of false religions, moral decline, and sexual sins in the world today.

The Apostle Paul was lead by the Holy Spirit to warn us: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry." (II Timothy 4:3-5).

The true Christian is taught to surround yourself with God's love and you will turn away from the wordly desires that keep your from living a godly life. Thankfully we have been blessed as Jesus has mercy upon all who call in Him and blesses us with eternal life. "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." (Jude 1:21).

Today's prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings you have given me this day. Thank you for my eyes that see, my hands that work, and my all my working body parts.

Lord, walk with me, guide me and be with me as I go about my day. Watch over me and lead me in the direction that I am to follow. I know there are times when I let wordly things and even emotions get in the way of living my life the way you intended me to live. Forgive me, Lord and bless me with the courage and strength to always follow You no matter how rough things get. Bless me with peace as I know that You are with me through it all and will answer all my prayers when I am ready to handle them.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not know you. Bless our nations and those who protect us from war and conflicts. Bless all who read this message. Watch over them, guide them, protect them, work in their hearts, give them peace, answer some prayers and may all come to know You, Lord.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

Have a wonderful day and many blessings to you.

God Bless

Good Day My Freinds,

A Happy & Prosperous Tuesday to you!
"I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me."- Psalm 13:6

Today we will begin reading the book of Jeremiah. Jeremiah 1 -- 3 In today's Scripture Reading we will learn about Jeremiah's call, his message to sinful Judah, its beliefs result in idolatry and their plead to repent. Today's message will focus on God's love for you and His plans for your life.

The Lord came to Jeremiah and revealed to him that He has a plan and purpose for each of us even before our birth: "Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." (Jeremiah 1:4-5).

Through Jeremiah's revelation concerning the origin of human life, it is revealed that our birth is not our real beginning, nor will our death be our end. Since God is the Giver of life, let us recognize the sacredness of all human life. Just think! God knew you and had a plan for your life even before the day you were born.

The Holy Spirit led King David to write: "I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth" (Psalm 139:14-15). Both mother and father have the biblical responsibility to recognize that every unborn child, from the moment of conception, belongs to its Creator, God. Both parents are responsible as faithful stewards of God to teach their children to know, love, and be obedient to God.

Through the Apostle Paul, God also revealed that "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 15Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints," (Ephesians 1:4-7,11,15-18).

God has chosen each of us for His sacred purpose. However, He has also given us the freedom to choose whom we will serve. Jesus stated an often overlooked fact: "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (wealth as an evil influence)." (Matthew 6:24)

We are special! Even before God laid the foundation of the world, He chose us to be His children through Jesus Christ, and it is because of Christ that we have received this inheritance from God.

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings you have given me. Thank you for the gift of freedom and choices. Thank you for accepting me and loving me no matter what I have done in the past. Thank you for being patient with me while I come to my senses.

Lord, walk with me, guide me and help me stay in the direction that You have chosen for me. I know that it may be a crooked road at times, but I also know that during that time You are with me and actually taking me out of dangerous ground. Bless me with a prosperous and healthy day and give me the strength to endure any broken bridges along the way.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not know you. May all come to know You, Lord. Bless our nations with peace and bless the government for they must need more money than we do to survive on. Bless all who read this message.

In Jesus' name, I pray.......Amen.

Have a wonderfully, unexpetedly  blessed day.
God Bless

Hello My Friends,

A Happy & Joyful Moday to you.
"Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself."- Psalm 80:17

Today we will complete our studies on the book of Isaiah. This lesson we will Read Isaiah Chapters 64 -- 66. In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn about our righteousness as filthy rags, a prayer for God's presence, punishment for our rebelliousness, and rejoicing during the millennium. Today's message will focus on a recap of the book of Isaiah and listening for God's call.

Most of the northern kingdom people were carried away captive by the Assyrians during the reign of wicked King Pekah. "And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it." (Isaiah 7:1). Having witnessed the destruction of the northern kingdom before he came to the throne, undoubtedly godly King Hezekiah of the southern kingdom was greatly encouraged by the prophet Isaiah. Sadly, after Hezekiah's death, his son Manasseh became one of the most wicked kings in Judah's history, bringing forth many graven images. "And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground." (Isaiah 21:9).

During this time, the Word of God, as proclaimed by Isaiah, had been ignored and now God spoke through him these pitiful words: "I have spread out My hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts" (Isaiah 65:2). Although God had reached out to them, they had not responded to Him. They had gone their own ways. The Lord continued: "I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears (worries, concerns) upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before Mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not" (66:4).

The Apostle Paul quoted from Isaiah 64:4 to encourage the Corinthian church: "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." (I Corinthians 2:9). The magnificence of His wisdom and glory are now revealed to us as we read His Word. Paul goes on to state that believers in Jesus as the Messiah also receive the very thoughts of Christ through the written Word of God.

Through Isaiah, God declared future things which were later presented through the Messiah upon those that love Him. At any time, in any place, we may pray to our loving God. While we have an opportunity to serve Him, we should determine to make His will the priority in our lives.

To the small minority who remained faithful then, as well as to the minority of faithful today, Isaiah is saying: "5Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. 12For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees." (Isaiah 66:5,12).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings you have given me. Thank you for the food that nourishes my spirit, mind, and body. Thank you for the water that cleanses me and comforts my thirst. And thank you for the air that gives me breath and a new day.

Lord, walk with me, guide me, and be with me in all that I do. Watch over me and protect me and lead me in the right direction that You have set out for me. Bless me with a prosperous day in all that I do and lean me not into temptation or emotions that cause me to sin. Bless me with a healthy, mind, body, & spirit that allows me to stay focused on the things that matter and teach me to listen for You when You speak to me.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all that I have come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others. Bless those who do not know you and those who refuse to know You, may all come to know You, Lord. Bless our nations and all who read this message. Watch over them, guide them and give them peace knowing that You will answer all prayers when the time is right.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

Have a great day and week.

God Bless
(P.S. To those who read this messages earlier in the day. Sorry I am late getting the message off today.)

Good Day My Friend,

A Joyful Sunday to you!
"Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God."- Psalm 50:23

In today's lesson we will continue studying from the book of Isaiah. We will read chapters 58 -- 63 and in today's Scripture reading we will learn about true fasting; sin, confession, and redemption, the future glory of Jerusalem, the day of vengeance, and about God's loving-kindness to Israel. Today's message will focus on fasting and giving God's way.

During Isaiah's time, the Israelite leaders complained to God: "Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? " (Isaiah 58:3a). They accused Him of not paying attention to what they were doing and they felt they had wasted their time.

The Lord answered: "Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high." (58.3b-4).

Even more serious was their hypocrisy. The Lord said: "Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush (plant), and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?  (to impress others with pretended humility)?" (58:5)

Through Isaiah, God reminded the Israelites that acceptable fasting was not to impress the world of how religious they were, but it was to seek the will of God through intercession. The Lord said the fast He would accept would be preceded by acts of kindness such as: "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands (bonds) of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal (sell) thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? (keep God with you). Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward." (Isaiah 58:6-8).

If what we do for someone, or for the Lord, is meant to impose or imply expecting special favors in return, prayers and fasting will be useless. Our prayers are effective only when our attitude and our relationship with others expresses the mercy and love of God unconditionally.

Often, being a Christian is thought of as the sum total of things we don't do. But a Christian is first and foremost both who we are and what we do. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings you have given me. Thank you for the ones who have helped me through struggles, thank you for the ones who criticized me and prosecuted me for no reason at all. For all these things strengthen me and bless me and bring me closer to You.

Lord, walk with me, guide me and be with me as I go about my day. Watch over me and lead me in the right direction and decisions. Help me to stay positive and uplifted no matter who or what tries to bring me down. Bless me with patience and understanding even when things seem so confusing. Bless me with a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

Lord, bless me family, friends, and all I have come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not know You. Bless our nations and those who read this message. Watch over them, guide them and give them peace knowing that You will answer all prayers when the time is right. Use me to be a blessing to others.

In Jesus' name, I pray.......Amen.

Have a wonderful day and Sabbath.
God Bless

Good Day My Friend,

A Beautiful and Peaceful Saturday to you.
"How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings."- Psalm 36:7

In today's lesson we will continue to read and learn from the book of Isaiah. Today, we will read Chapters 52 -- 57. In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn about the foretelling of Jesus to bear our grief, suffering, and sin, the Lord's everlasting love for Israel, and everyone being a sinner is called to faith and repentance. Today's message will focus on Chapter 53, the foretelling of Jesus and the repentance of sins.

Through Isaiah God revealed to the nation that Jesus would be His first servant.
"Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high." (Isaiah 52:13). Jesus first came as the Servant (of God), as the Suffering Savior; but He will soon return highly exalted as the King of kings.

"For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness (allure); and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him." (53:2). Dry ground illustrates the spiritual condition of the religious world before Jesus arrived. It means that our spiritual well-being is dried up without Jesus.

The religious leaders of the first century were looking for a warrior-king, like David, to deliver them from the oppression of Rome. However, Isaiah had foretold: "Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows" (53:4). This means He has taken on our emotional, spiritual, as well as our physical needs of every kind.

Although Isaiah was prophesying about the future, he wrote as if it was already happening at the present time. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." (53:5). Jesus' death on the cross provided the means by which all repentant believers, Jew and Gentile alike (all nations), receive eternal life and become acceptable to Him through the death of the sinless Son of God when they receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

Had they been in subjection to the Word of God, they would have recognized their Messiah who provided deliverance from sin and freedom from oppression. "He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand." (53:7-10).

He alone provides eternal life for all who confess their guilt, are repentant of their sins, and seek to obey His Word. That is why it is important to read all of it, even though we fall short of what God desires us to be.  "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." (Romans 8:34). He knows who we are and what we can do for Him. He will use us as His servants to tell of what Jesus did for us and how all can enjoy eternal life through Him.

What have you got to loose by accepting Jesus into your life?
A firey death, that is what. "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation: 20:14,15). When we pass on two things happen, our spirits leave our bodies and then it either decends up to heaven or gets thrown into a lake of fire. Those who are cast into the fire recieve a second death. However, those who accept Jesus into their hearts and truly believe in Him will acend up into Heaven and enjoy a new life and see Him face to face.

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings that You have given me. Thank you for my eyes that see, my mouth that opens and speaks, and for my fingers that can type. Thank you for sending Your son, Jesus to save us from all our sins and giving us a way to Heaven.

Lord, walk with me, guide me and be with me in all that I do today. Give me peace knowing that You are never far away and all I have to do is call on You to guide me through any storm that comes my way. Bless me with a healthy mind and body to do the things I need to do accurately. Bless me with patience, kindness, love, and compassion in all I do knowing that You know what is best for me and will answer all prayers when I am ready to handle them.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know. Bless those less fotunate than me and those who do not know you. Bless our nations and all who read this message. Watch over them, guide them and be with them in all that they do. You know their prayers and what they are in need of, give them peace knowing that You will answer their prayers when the time is right.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen!

Have a great and wonderful Saturday.

God Bless

Good Day My Friends,

A Joyful & Glourious Friday to you!
"Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us."- Psalm 68:28

Today we will continue studying the book of Isaiah. This lesson we will Read Chapters  47 -- 51. We will learn about the Judgment on Babylon, Israel's rebuke, Christ is revealed as a Light to the Gentiles and suffering Servant, and the restoration of Israel. Today's message will reflect on the difficulties we face and what God has in store for us through them.

Many of us expect judgment upon those who choose to live ungodly lives, or upon those back away from Him, but many Christians do not understand why sincere believers experience so many difficulties and critical circumstances.

The prophet Isaiah encourages us to remain faithful, regardless of the circumstances, even though we cannot see why we face so many difficulties. "Who is among you that feareth (respect) the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God." (Isaiah 50:10).

God will bring blessings out of suffering and triumph out of tragedy for every child of God, just as He did for Job. Heartbreaking experiences are a test of our faith, as well as a means of our developing greater faith. God twice said Job was the most perfect man on earth, yet he suffered more than anyone in biblical history except Jesus, who bore the sins of the world on the cross. Job's faith remained strong because he knew that God was in control of his life. He testified confidently, even while suffering intensely, saying: "He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold"(Job 23:10).

Each of us can expect difficulties, as well as temptation from the forces of evil; so do not be dismayed if one day your whole world crumbles and it seems the Lord has abandoned you. The truth is the closer we are with God and following the path that He created for us the more satan wants us to fall. You can rest assure that God is right there with you, watching over you and protecting you along the way. Remember, He will never let satan send us any problem or circumstance that we can not handle. God knows how strong we are and many times we are a lot stronger than we thing we are.

The Apostle James, who later suffered martyrdom for his faith in Jesus as the Christ, encouraged believers to "Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience." (James 5:10). Jesus explained to His disciples that, because the world hated Him, it would also hate them. Another time, He promised a hundredfold return to those who forsook home and family for Him, but He cautioned that they too would suffer persecution "18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me." (John 15:18,20-21).

We will see the glory and exceed in blessings through all difficulties,."But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." (I Peter 4:13).
In these circumstances we learn several things. Patience, strength, courage, and most of all we become closer to God as we learn to pray and meditate on Him and His word.

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with this day. Thank you for the many blessings you have given me this day. Thank you for the food I eat, the water, I drink, and the air I breathe. Thank you for my family, friends and all I have come to know, whether the experience was joyful or hurtful they all made me into the person I am today.

Lord, walk with me, guide me, and be with me in all that I do. Watch over me, protect me and give me the strength to overcome any emotions or temptations that cause me to sin. Bless me with the will to be patient and understanding in all circumstances. Bless me with the energy and motivation to do the things that You call me to do and to do them with joy.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and those who do not know you. Bless our nations and those who protect us from war and conflicts and all who read this message. Watch over them, guide them, protect them, and give them peace knowing that You will answer all prayers accordingly and when the time is right.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

Have a wonderful day.

God Bless

Good Day My Friends,

A Happy & Joyful Thursday to you!
"And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." - Psalm 9:10

Today, we are continuing our studies on the book of Isaiah. We will be reading Isaiah, chapters 43-46, Click Here to read Online. In these chapters you will read about God's care for Israel, the folly of idolatry, Jerusalem and the Temple to be rebuilt, God's purpose for Cyrus, and the power of the Living God and the weakness of idols. Today's message will focus on Chapter 44.

When Isaiah was a prophet, Jerusalem was the City of God and the sacred Temple stood there. The people felt very secure that nothing would happen them or to Jerusalem. Therefore, the people rejected Isaiah's prophecy concerning the "ruins" of Jerusalem. Through Isaiah, God foretold both the destruction and the rebuilding of the Temple while the nation was still enjoying freedom and prosperity. He also foretold; "That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited (populated); and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places (ruins)thereof:" (Isaiah 44:26).

At the same time, Babylon, the capital city of the Chaldean dynasty, was surrounded by massive walls about 300 feet high. The Babylonians were certain that no one could invade their great city. However, Isaiah foretold that a man named Cyrus would conquer Babylon 150 years before it took place. "That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid." (44:28).

Babylon thought itself invincible because of its walls, as well as the great brass gates spanning the Euphrates which ran through its center. However, God declared exactly how the city would be taken by the armies of Cyrus. The river would dry up and the Lord would see that the gates across it would be left unlocked. And that is exactly what happened when Darius, the Mede, under the rule of Cyrus entered the city that same fateful night that King Belshazzar of Babylon saw the handwriting of God on the wall (See Daniel 5:1-31).

Only God could have given Isaiah such remarkable details concerning the defeat of Babylon by saying "And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah."(Isaiah 13:19).

At the end of the kingdom of Judah's 70 years of captivity, this was fulfilled exactly as foretold by the prophet. This fact should dispel all doubt regarding the Lord's loving concern and care for His followers.

It is a fact that "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will." (Proverbs 21:1).

"Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;" (44:24) Jesus is our redeemer, He is the one that makes all things including us to be who we are today. Through His death on the cross, He has redeemed all who put their trust Him and beleive Him to be their Savior "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." (I Corinthians 6:20)

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings that you give me each day. Thank you for my health, others would be grateful to have my health issues. Thank you for my finances, others would be grateful just to buy a loaf of bread. Thank you for my home, others would be grateful just to have a bed to lay their heads upon.

Lord, walk with me, guide me and lead me in all that I do today. Help me to make the right decisions and to do everything for your glory. Bless me with the strength to remove any fleshy desires or thoughts that may come along the way. Bless me with patience and a positive outlook no matter how bad things may seem. Bless me with wisdom and knowledge and teach me to listen for You when you speak to me.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I have come to kow. Bless our nations, those who protect us, and those less fortunate than me. Bless all who read this message, those who do not know You and those who refuse to know You. Watch over them, guide them, work in their hearts and give them peace knowing that You will answer all prayers when the time is right. May all come to know You, Lord.

In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen.

Have a wondeful day and many blessings to you.

God Bless

Good Day My Friend,

A Happy & Joyful Wednesday to you!
"He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation."- Psalm 24:5

Today, we are continuing our studies on the book of Isaiah. We will be reading Isaiah, chapters 38-42. Click Here to read it online. In today's Scripture Reading we will read about Hezekiah's pride, his life lengthened; the Babylonian captivity foretold, and Christ is foretold, however today's message will reflect Chapter 38.

About 13 years had passed since Isaiah brought Hezekiah, the king of Judah, the exciting news that the southern kingdom would be miraculously saved from the "invincible" armies of the Assyrian Empire. But this time Isaiah warned Hezekiah while he was deathly ill that if he did not set his house in order he will not live on when he dies. "In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live." (Isaiah 38:1).

With intense weeping, Hezekiah began praying to the Lord, "Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech (beg) Thee, how I have walked before Thee in truth and with a perfect (sincere) heart, and have done that which is good in Thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore (bitterly)" (Isaiah 38:3,4).

He reminded the Lord how he had served Him faithfully and had not departed from the Lord's Commandments. He had sincerely lived to please the Lord. Isaiah again heard the voice of God. "Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying, Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years."(38:5). Surely the additional years added on to his life were not only due to Hezekiah's tears and prayer but to his faithfulness during the previous 40 years of his life.

Our Lord reminds us: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8). We should never hesitate to pray, regardless of how hopeless or great our circumstances may appear. However, this does not mean that God always answers our prayer in the way we want or according to our timing. God will answer all prayers when He feels that the time is right and many times He will answer our prayer in a different way, one that will not cause harm to you or anyone.

Since we often desire to be like Jesus, yet fall short of doing so we fall into the traps of fleshly desires and quiickly accept the conviction of satan that we are too unworthy for God to answer our prayers. Although it is right to assess our faults and confess our sins, it also magnifies the grace of God to recognize the good in our lives just as Hezekiah did. We can also remind the Lord of our sincere endeavors to live God-honoring lives, which are only produced as we surrender to the inner working of the Holy Spirit. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost (Spirit)" (Titus 3:5)

God recognizes the good in all of us and those who are sincere in wanting to live their lives to be like Jesus will recieve answered prayers. Remember all this is for our own good, it teaches us, patience, strength, wisdom, and obedience to name a few. Trust in the Lord and He will guide you out of the storm.

Today's prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing me with a new day. Thank you for the many blessings you have given me. Thank you for the food I eat, the water, I drink and the air I breathe. Thank you for shelter in the night, the heat, and the rain. Thank you for my eyes that see, my hands that touch, and my heart that beats.

Lord, walk with me, guide me and give me the strength to get through this day positive and uplifited. I put my trust in You and know that with You all things are possible, give me peace knowing that You will answer all prayers accordingly.

Lord, bless my family, friends, and all I have come to know. Bless those less fortunate than me and use me to be a blessing to others. Bless those who do not know you and those who refuse to know you, may they all come to know You, Lord. Bless our nations, bless our towns, bless our homes, and bless all who read this message.

In Jesus' name, I pray.......Amen.

Have a blessful, peaceful day.

God Bless

Good Day My Friends,

A Joyful & Happy Tuesday to you!
"Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide."- Psalm 26:1

In today's lesson will will continue to learn from the book of Isaiah, chapters 32 -- 37

In the Scriptures you will read about our Righteous King foretold, the judgment upon the nations (Armageddon), the future glory of Zion; Hezekiah's prayer and the destruction of the Assyrians.

King Hezekiah came up against Judah. "Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the defenced cities of Judah, and took them." (Isaiah 36:1). Even the walled cities were no match for the might of Sennacherib's army. In one military campaign he quickly defeated 46 of the towns and villages of the small southern kingdom. He carried away into captivity about 200,000 of its inhabitants, but was not able to conquer Jerusalem. At that time, all of western Asia was under Assyria's control, including the once-powerful Babylonia, Media, Armenia, Syria, Phoenicia, Philistia, Edom, and most of the promised land.

Eventually, the king Sennacherib demanded an unconditional surrender. Feeling secure in the might of his army, Sennacherib sent word to the people of Jerusalem: "Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you. Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, The Lord will surely deliver us" (36:14-16).

Upon hearing this demand, King Hezekiah immediately did what we all should do when we receive bad news. He began to pray; "O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth. Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God. Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries, And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only." (37:14-20).

Isaiah sent a word to Hezekiah, saying: "Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria:" (37:21) "By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake." (37:34,35) That night the Angel of the Lord went forth, and smote the Assyrians destroying 185,000 soldiers. "Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses." So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh." (37:36),

It is important that, like Hezekiah, we pray and trust the Lord for all of our needs. It is foolish to think we can stand against the schemes and tricks of the Devil in our own might. "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (Ephesians 6:11-13).

God is waiting for us to place our trust in Him. The Lord is still urging us: "Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty (unsearchable) things, which thou knowest not" (Jeremiah 33:3)

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord,

Thank you for blessing me with another day. Thank you for the many blessings that you have given me. Thank you for the extra padding that you provided me with on my body that protects me when I fall. Thank you for the glasses that give me perfect vision to see. Thank you for the days that I have noodles to eat for You have provided me with food to nourish
